Good Property, Great Beach, but stay away from "property tour" & save vacation time!

Stayed at this property for 6 nights and had reserved the Premium Junior Suite Poolside room. We got a decent room closer to the beach and facing the pool area as advertised. The property is about 30-mins drive from the airport and you have plenty of options to get from the airport to this resort. Don't pay more than USD 35 in cash. Friendly staff and an extremely busy lobby is how we were welcomed at the resort. A gentleman quickly reserved a 9 am slot for the "resort tour" only for us to go through an extremely frustrating and painful sit-down sales pitch luring you to join their Travel Club membership, which they spin it as "investment". As friendly and nice our sales lady, they ate 4 hours of our vacation time pitching different options, including a hail mary offer of USD 10K which included 70 free nights and a 7 nights stay on them. At the fourth hour, I was so exhausted to walk away even from this offer, that's how much I did not want to be there! Good things though -- excellent beach set-up, plenty of pool options, and cheap shelf liquor. Presidente is the only beer they have on tap. Staff was overall very nice and friendly, and Willy was an omnipresent bar tender at the resort pool area and lobby bar during night time. No bar at the beach by Punta Cana was frustrating and beach chairs are blocked by larger families making it impossible to get a good seat unless you wake up at 6 or 7 am to block the chairs. We stuck to Behique (common buffet) for most of our meals - because we had not many options. It's easier to get a reservation at a Michelin Star NYC restaurant than at any of their specialty restaurants - which I am sure they manipulate for their "PTC Members". We never got to try their Japanese restaurant which seemed to be quite popular, but somehow managed to get a late reservation at their Indian restaurant which had excellent food. The nearby resort - Bavaro was a nice place to hang out in the evenings, but getting to their lobby (especially when traveling with a child) meant that we preferred taking a buggy between their resort - another perk reserved for their "PTC Members" unless you can wait for a shuttle which arrives every 10 mins and less frequently later in the night; while you see empty buggies every few seconds. I think these buggy riders should start a black market and they'll make money charging $2 per person per ride! At premium rates, we had a lower than premium experience and Palladium failed to impress us and in hindsight, we are so glad we did not fall for their "PTC Membership trap". Palladium still owes us 4 hours of our vacation time!

    Awefull experience

This resort was absolutely awful. From the website from which we booked to the front desk staff to the rooms to the food. The only thing good about this resort is the ocean and the pools. Buyer be ware, we booked the junior pool walk out with double beds what we got was a hotel room that faces the street one king bed and a sleeper sofa. The front desk said that pool view was not guaranteed and that they only had king beds in the pool walkout. I paid extra for the pool walk out with double beds. I had to complain to get a room that was remotely inhabitable. We were told that we could only make dinner reservations when we arrived. However, when we tried to book the reservations immediately after arriving, all the reservations were full. The buffet food was terrible. I only ate the vegetables and the food that I could see cooked in front of me. Even then, sometimes, it was not cooked thoroughly. The ftontdesk staff were really rude. Except Manuel. He made the room correction. He was very sweet. The person and manager making reservations were very rude. I'm not sure if this was because it was Christmas week, but I surely will not be returning to this hotel!

    I didn’t have quality time

The hostel room AC didn’t work. We could smell the sewer in that room. Had to pay extra for upgrade but still the AC ,Tv remotes, phone didn’t work. Sink in the loft was leaking. Bath room shower was broken. We had 10 day vacation planned but had to cut short and return. This was not the kind of vacation and service we expected for the money spent. Very disappointed and unu

Cancel your booking and stay away

The resort looks wonderful upon arriving but let me be clear you’ll very quickly find out the service, amenities, food and drinks are far from exceptional. We arrived on the 26th at night and went to book dinner reservations for our family on the app they tell you to use and couldn’t. So we went down to guest services the next day and tried making our families reservations and they didn’t have a single opening for the whole week. So we booked dinners as individual couples. After eating at a specialty restaurant we soon found out how many open tables they were. That to me is completely unacceptable. The whole reason we went with family is to spend time together… The food has made three people sick after two nights, one family member got so sick he had to go to the emergency room. Some staff members are wonderful, others however are very rude and won’t lift a finger for you without extra motivation. We’re always good about tipping as it is an all inclusive but this is ridiculous. The best thing about this trip and will be about this trip is spending time with loved ones. Will be my first and last time ever here and I’m not sure I would ever do another all inclusive if they’re anything remotely like this. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. The casino is a complete joke, the machines are super outdated and they have two card tables and a roulette wheel. They say there’s an adults only section but every place we have been has had nothing but kids going crazy and screaming. Nothing against kids it’s not their fault but good lord. We all learned our lesson the hard way and hopefully not many other people will. We had to strip our sheets off the bed just for them to even make it and the mini fridge that was said to always be restocked with what was in it at arrival was far from the truth. I don’t know about you but seeing cats walking around your dinner table isn’t very appealing. Very disappointing and completely unsanitary.

    Nice trip

Overall trip in nice, veggie food is not enough. They need to educate staff to speak in English. They should have more Indian Veggie food.
