    Nice property and great staff

    Nice and well maintained hotel, marble beach but sea water not clear, one has to realize we are not in the Caribbean.

    First time in a RIU but not the last !

    I would recommand to everyone ! Everything was perfect, the beach, the pools, the food, the drinks, the staff and the room ! We had a beautiful view on the sea from our room on the 5th floor ! Thank you for evertything !

    9 night stay

    The resort overall was very nice. The food overall was excellent. The buffet was fabulous. The other restaurants could have changed up the menu after the weekend. Menus were the same for entire stay but food was good. Beach area was nice as well

    I had a great ladies trip with 14 girlfriends at your hotel.The entertainment was impresive. One thing I would like to recommend is live music with local musicians as well. There was a couple days of live music at the outdoor pool with the bar. It would have been nice to see this at the main stage in the evenings for a few nights.

    Visit to Parents & two kids got diarrhea & 🤮were forbidden

    NOT recommend Riu Playa Blanca to anyone! 😭Parents & two kids got horrible diarrhea & 🤮on 2nd day there. Under our family doctor’s advice, I flew in on day 4 with the meds. They would NOT let me visit them in the lobby and check on them. 😤Even w/ the help of translation of local friend who speak fluent Spanish. They couldn’t care less. My poor sick dad👴 has to walk for 20 mins to the gate at 2pm ☀️to get the meds and bring my boys to see their mom. 👶We were told that the visit can’t be longer than 15 mins. They are being treated worse than prisoners!! Fro this trip, I booked with Sunwing, but the flight is only once a week, I have to travel with a different airline. Nor vacation package nor hotel reservation was available online when I was booking. I called the Sunwing agent ask to ask me on to their reservation and they didn’t want to do anything. The hotel front desk also told me they don’t make reservations there, that I have to book online. I wasn’t allowed to visit my sick family at the hotel. I wasn’t able to make a reservation online nor in person. This is so crude and beyond my wildest imagination. Ironically, I accidentally went to the hotel next door Playa Blanca by mistake, they were super nice and ready to help. It was after talking to the front desk I realized that was the wrong place. Really wishes we would have booked that one.
