In September 2015, Funjet Vacations brought a family travel expert and blogger to Beaches Ocho Rios. Tara, of Tara Met Blog and TravelingMom.com, loves to travel with her husband and twin toddler boys.
Beaches Resorts is in a class of its own when it comes to family vacations. Traveling with young kids, particularly toddlers (and especially twins!) can be a challenge. But it also has it's rewards.
"We like it to be easy," Tara said. "There's a lot to do and we don't have to pack as much because it's already here."
And everything truly is here at Beaches Ocho Rios. Beyond the restaurants, which all have menus for young tastes and more mature palates, there is a fantastic kid's club, a water park, an enclosed beach with calm water and entertainment for all ages.
"We're going to the water park every day because they love it so much!" Tara said of her twins. She also appreciated the kid's camp, which is complete with favorite Sesame Street characters. "[The kids] don't have to be there all day. We like to do it at dinner so we can have a romantic meal," Tara recommended.
When it comes to traveling together, Tara recommends families go for it, but advises researching activities for the kids' age groups ahead of time to be sure everyone will have a great vacation.
At the end of the day, she says, "we find it very rewarding to travel together and make these memories."
