Thanks to the wonders of the internet, you can see, hear and almost feel a destination on screen before you even get there. There are dozens of great video blogs out there on travel that can help you plan your next vacation. Whether you want to rough it in the jungle or live the high life in the world’s great cities, you can take a virtual vacation online with these unique travel vlogs.

Sonia’s Travels

Our favorite travel vlogger right now is the fun and friendly Sonia Gil. In Sonia’s Travels, posted each Thursday, she shares videos of her favorite travel spots. She also offers plenty of useful travel tips, something she refers to as “cracking the secret code of travel,” something we definitely approve of at the Funjet Insider. Watching Sonia’s video on her new favorite beach in Dominican Republic makes you feel like you’re discovering it along with her.

Fun for Louis

Popular vlogger Louis Cole considers himself a nomad, not a tourist. His adventures have led him from LA to Nairobi and everywhere in between. And he records it all, posting videos daily on all of his experiences, from finding authentic samba in Rio to leaving his laptop on the plane from Bejing (and being reunited with it in New Zealand). His videos are a little on the long side, but they really give you an idea of what day-to-day life is like in a destination.

Pause the Moment

At Pause the Moment, Ryan Gargiulo provides tons of tips, gear and accommodation reviews along with his travel videos. For gearheads who wants to make sure their camera stays waterproof and charged, he’s a great resource. He’s spent a lot of time in Mexico, so be sure to check out his videos of Puerto Vallarta and Tulum.

Bacon is Magic

Foodies, be sure to check out the city food guides over at Bacon is Magic. Ayngelina Brogan as traveled and tasted the local specialties everywhere from Sao Paulo to Helinski. Her videos are beautiful, colorful, and upbeat. And because you’re bound to be hungry after watching one of her videos, she also has simple-to-follow recipe videos for dishes like Day of the Dead Posole.

The Travel Muse

A self-described “travel addict,” Nathalie Basha uses her skills as a former television reporter to engage her viewers on her travels throughout Europe, South America and the United States. As The Travel Muse, she’s cosmopolitan but accessible. Her travel vignettes let you experience what she’s experiencing, but also provide a good amount of travel tips. See what we mean with her amusing—and amazing—visit to Angkor Wat in Thailand.
