If you’ve ever dreamed of being rock royalty (and haven’t we all?) then I’ve got the place for you: the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.
Hard Rock Hotels are transforming what used to be the Aventura Spa Palace and the Aventura Cove Palace into an authentic rock ‘n roll experience with a modern flair. Like before, the new resort will have two sections: one for families and one just for adults, appropriately named the “Heaven” section.
I got a behind-the-scenes peek at what’s happening right now at the resort while it is closed for renovations and its own rock star treatment.
At the resort, there are a ton of options for dining in style. In the Heaven section, there will be several adults-only restaurants, including the Toro steak house, Italian specialties at Ciao, and Le Petit Cochon for a countryside French bistro experience. For family-friendly dining, you can travel the world with your taste buds by enjoying Mexican, Brazilian and Asian cuisine fit for all ages. One of my favorite things about Hard Rock is that there are no reservations required and no limits on á la carte dining. So many choices, so little…room in your stomach!Once you’ve indulged, you may need to take a little nap by one of the six pools. That’s right – six pools! There will be two that welcome children, and four just for the grown-ups. Can’t decide? I recommend the beach, which is being renovated to ensure it is zero-entry for a safe and relaxing place to play.
Thirsty? You’ll have 9 bars and lounges to choose from – including the world’s first and only swim-up bar in the ocean. You can enjoy the warm, clear blue waters of the Caribbean Sea while sipping a piña colada…without ever leaving the water. Talk about a truly luxurious experience fit for the famous!
There are a few more things I discovered about the new Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya that are really unique. The Little Big Club is a new kid’s club for the little ones, and there is a Teen Lounge & Club for older kids. All ages will enjoy exploring natural habitats during the Spider Monkey experience. And last but definitely not least, guests will be able to rent out an electric guitar (with an amp and headphones, of course). After all, rock royalty needs to have a jam session now and then!
The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is on schedule to open for guests on November 11, 2013. Funjet has some great offers to pass on to you, including up to an $1,800 Limitless Resort Credit or Unlimited Golf, which you can always find on funjet.com.
