Why should kids get all the toys? When we found out about Golfboards, we immediately rushed to find out more, so we could share it with you. GolfBoards a cross between an oversized skateboard and a motorized scooter. They’re super easy (and fun!) to ride, even if you’ve never skateboarded or surfed before. Did we mention they’re super fun, too?

If you need an “adult” excuse to try it (other than “I’m on vacation!”), GolfBoarding is a great way to strengthen your core and legs, making it good for your game, as well.

And surfing the course with a GolfBoard speeds up play considerably; an average round can be played in two and a half hours. So you can hit the links in the morning and still have the whole rest of the day to explore, relax, and find more ways to have fun. Which may just mean another round on the Golfboard.

You speed up and slow down while riding a GolfBoard simply by pressing or releasing the throttle with your thumb—it never gets faster than a leisurely bike ride, and it won’t take off without you. You steer simply by shifting your body weight or pulling on the stability bar, which also doubles as a handy golf club holder.

Not surprisingly, “surfing the earth” on a GolfBoard is catching on quickly in Hawaii, the birthplace of surfing. We hear they can be found on a number of courses throughout the Islands, including the Princeville Makai Golf Club at the St. Regis Princeville and the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. They’re also starting to pop up far from the ocean waves at resorts like the Westin Kierland in Scottsdale, AZ.

If you’ve tried GolfBoarding, please let us know what it was like! We can’t wait to try it ourselves.
