Before Riu Republica’s grand opening, we thought it couldn’t get any grander than grand. Turns out, it can. And Riu Republica proved it with a wing extension. They don’t have a success story. They have a double success story. When this all-inclusive, adults-only escape opened in Punta Cana in 2016, we also thought 1,000 rooms would be enough. We were wrong. They decided a few more rooms wouldn’t hurt. 501 more, actually. Here’s why we love this resort, and how it’s already getting even better.
Perfect at first.
Before the expansion, Riu Republica was the perfect place to let loose on a Caribbean getaway. From lounging on the white sand of Arena Gorda beach to living it up at the weekly beach party, you had it made in the shade. And, in case you missed the beach party, you could always make up for it at the weekly foam pool party. Yeah. They got wild. But so do you. And they still do.
Even more awesome.
The original 1,000 rooms? Those are getting a little face lift, too. Every. Single. One. And if you love tasty, 24-hour, all-inclusive eats as much as we do, you’ll want to bring your appetite. Feeling Asian food at 3 AM? They’ve got you covered. 5-star all-inclusive, all the time. Plus, the new wing will have even more foodie faves like Saona, Ole Spanish restaurant, Kulinarium restaurant and a Jamaican-style jerk grill on the beach. The Macao bar, Coco's beach bar and the poolside bars will keep that frosty, fruity cocktail topped off. And speaking of poolside fun, how does an adults-only water park sound? Good? Great. Get ready to feel like a kid again and dive in to Splash water park. Cannonball!
What’s the blue idea?
As much as we love the pool parties and the perfect late night meals, our favorite part of Riu Republica has a whole lot to do with doing nothing much at all on the white sand beach with just the crystal-clear, gem-blue seas stretching out in front of you. So if you’re looking to soak up the sun and unplug for a little while, then this is just the place.
