This year, Funjet has even more incredible destinations, from the Caribbean to the South Pacific.

For most of 2015, those wanting to visit Hawaii’s most enticing island had to make do with day trips while the island’s two resorts closed for renovations. Now The Four Seasons Resort Lanai is almost ready to reopen in February 2016 with state-of-the-art technology in each guestroom and several new pools and water features (including adults-only pool). Without visitors, staff at the resort (and its sister property, The Lodge at Koele, also closed during construction) have kept busy improving the island’s trail network and restoring historical sites.

Looking for something about as exotic as you can get? It’s high time you visited the South Pacific. Follow the warm trade winds to any of Tahiti’s islands and you’ll find majestic mountain peaks fringed by white sand beaches and turquoise lagoons perfect for swimming. Dive in to pure bliss among Tahiti’s many coral reefs and the fish, dolphins, rays, sharks, turtles that inhabit them.  Trust us: full of Polynesian charm, colorful culture and romantic ambiance, Tahiti really is a magical place.

Yes, Costa Rica made our 2015 list, but we’re including it again because you really should go. Frequently described as “off-the-beaten-path,” this Central American destination is getting more popular by the minute. Its beaches, jungles and copious wildlife make it the ideal tropical destination, and the many all-inclusive resorts from RIU, Barceló and Hilton make it a supremely comfortable destination, too. Visiting the cloud forests and hot springs surrounding Arenal Volcano are an absolute must-see for any traveler.

Do you hear that? Strains of jazz, rumba, salsa…it’s Cuba, and it’s calling you. Starting in April, Funjet will be offering escorted tours to the island for the first time. Travelers who’ve always wanted to explore Havana’s cobblestone streets, take in a show at the legendary Tropicana or sit where Hemingway did at Ambos Mundos will now have their chance. But there’s more here than just music—it is a Caribbean island, after all. Don’t miss Vadero’s beaches or the beautiful cays and coral reefs of the Jardines del Rey archipelago.

Tourists staying away from Los Cabos thanks to Hurricane Odile back in September 2014 are really missing out. Several resorts have come back better than ever after only short closures, and new resorts prove why Los Cabos will always be a premier destination for foodies and golfers. The new J.W. Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa take full advantage of its location in Mexico’s wine country. Meanwhile, Barcelo, Hilton and Grand Fiesta Americana have all renovated existing restaurants or added new ones. Cabo del Sol Golf Club remains one of the most lauded courses in Mexico, while new additions like El Cardonal and Jack Nicklaus’ Quivira Golf Club are earning buzz as well.

New Zealand

New Zealand shows up on many bucket lists – and vacation packages to New Zealand are now available through Funjet. Though the country is small, its two main islands were formed by fire and ice (that is, volcanoes and glaciers). That means the landscape is some of the most dramatic in the world. Thus the many movies that have been filmed using New Zealand as the backdrop. From lovely beaches to incredible mountains and waterfalls, you’ll be awestruck. Our best tip? Remember to put down your camera and enjoy the view live.

Disney is making the jump to hyperspace in a big way. 2016 will see the opening of Star Wars Land at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Orlando and at Disneyland Park California. Not only will beloved Star Wars characters come to life there, but visitors will have a chance to immerse themselves in brand-new stories. Fly the Millennium Falcon, take part in an epic Star Wars battle, be transported to never-before-seen planets. Until the new lands open, the Force is still strong at existing attractions like Star Tours and Jedi Training. They’ve been updated and enhanced by the addition of the Star Wars Launch Bay. Oh, and Space Mountain has temporarily upgraded to Hyperspace Mountain.
