Visiting any popular tourist destination, it’s often hard to find the charm that made a place so popular in the first place. Although it can be plenty touristy at times, the boardwalk is also a place you can find the authentic Puerto Vallarta vibe.
I had the opportunity to chat with Bea Barbero of Marival Resort & Suites. Watch the video to find out why she thinks the Malecon is so special.
The Malecon’s vendors can be pushy, so if you want a quiet stroll to enjoy the boardwalk’s art and the great view of Banderas Bay, you might want to go in the mornings when there are fewer tourists. On Sundays, local families often stroll the boardwalk together. Sunday night is when the Malecon is at its’ busiest, filled with street performers, food carts and craft vendors.
Have you strolled the Malecon? What did you think?
