There's one thing that will be present from start to finish on your wedding day, and that's music! Whether it’s getting ready with your ladies in the bridal suite, anticipating the processional, or having your first dance as Mr. and Mrs., the songs you choose will make ever-lasting memories. Choosing the best songs for the moment can really become a challenge. So many thoughts cross the minds of couples when it comes time to make the ultimate wedding day playlist. Is it romantic enough? Do the lyrics represent our love? Will people like this song? What if it's too cheesy? This collection of playlist worthy songs are certain to keep you, your bridesmaids, and your guests swooning all day long.

Getting Ready with Your Bridesmaids

The list of songs for this unforgettable morning of girl time is never ending. For starters, we suggest jamming to some throwbacks. Create a playlist of songs that are going to ignite the most fun and ridiculous memories you girls have had together. Rather than selecting a list of songs, we opted for a list of artists that scream girl power!

Katy Perry

Beyoncé

Miranda Lambert

Taylor Swift

Miley Cyrus

Christina Aguilera

Lady Gaga

Rihanna

Britney Spears

Shania Twain

Tina Turner

The Wedding Ceremony

Deciding on music selections for the ceremony is surprisingly one of the biggest challenges that most couples face. The songs you choose for memorable moments throughout the ceremony will set the tone of the next chapter of your love story as husband and wife. Our suggestion is to pick songs that portray your love and relationship as a couple.

Concierge Tip: Looking to put the ultimate destination spin on your ceremony? Think local music. Bob Marley would be the perfect match for a Jamaican wedding.

Wedding Guests Arrival

Typically, guests arrive to the ceremony early to take in the gorgeous scenery and wedding decor. On the other hand, if you're having an outdoor ceremony in the sun, your guests may very well stay cool as long as possible before taking their seat at the ceremony. Regardless of when your guests are likely to arrive, we suggest creating a playlist of at least 10 songs that may be cycled on repeat. Instrumental music is the best route to go to set a mellow atmosphere for everyone. Plus, many guests will be talking amongst each other anyway so not having lyrics is a-okay. Not sure where to start when it comes to instrumental music? Start by checking out some of the following:

Vitamin String Quartet

Classic and contemporary hits that will never disappoint, some of our favorites include: Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing, Maroon 5’s Make me Wonder, and The Fray’s You Found Me.

John Legend

A mix between piano and lively beats, instrumental versions of  John Legend’s top hits are the perfect combo of romantic fun. Take a listen to Open Your Eyes, Let’s Get Lifted, and Ordinary People.

Elton John

A surefire way to please any age group for your guests, Elton John classics in instrumental form may even get your guests singing in their seats! Your Song, Rocket Man, and Tiny Dancer are a great place to start.

The Processional

The wedding processional is the order in which your bridal party and other family members will make their entrance into your ceremony. There's no need to follow a traditional order for the procession unless you'd like to (unless you're having a Catholic ceremony of course). Feel free to mix it up and make it your own. Our biggest suggestion is to change the song so that guests notice a change and can draw their attention to the aisle when it is needed. One of the easiest ways to change it up is to switch from instrumental to lyrical or vice versa. This is the time to shine and soak up the romance. We suggest one song for the bridal party and one song for the bridal entrance.

Come Away With Me - Norah Jones

Home - Phillip Phillips

Better Together - Jack Johnson

Wanted - Hunter Hayes

The Bridal Entrance

Although technically this is considered part of the processional, we think its worthy of its very own song. We don’t have to fight for this one because we know you will get all the feels when you listen to these songs that will instantly make you think of your love.

Marry Me - Train

All of Me - John Legend

Canon in D - Vitamin String Quartet

Can’t Help Falling in Love - Ingrid Michaelson

The Recessional

It's time to get the party started! The best way to kick off the celebration is to head out of the ceremony with something fun and uplifting. Take a peek at these inspirational songs:

Marry You - Bruno Mars

You Make My Dreams Come True - Hall & Oates

I Do - Colbie Caillat

Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours - Stevie Wonder

Best Day of My Life - American Authors
