We’re coming up on a year anniversary of this beautiful couple tying the knot in sunny Puerto Vallarta. In honor of their first year, I wanted to give them a special feature in our blog. A fellow Wisconsin couple, Cassy and Tim came to Weddings by Funjet in search of the perfect getaway to say their vows in front of their family and friends. They quickly decided that the Iberostar Playa Mita Resort and Spa was the right fit for their destination wedding dreams.
Cassy and Tim started their destination wedding journey just a little over a year before their wedding date. They wanted to make sure that they gave their guests plenty of time to plan, budget, and look forward to the wedding! As always, time flew by and the wedding was here before they knew it.
Cassy was a dream bride, kind, easy going, and well organized. Wedding planning was easy and enjoyable as it should be for every bride! Cassy had great taste and together we worked to ensure the team at Iberostar could bring this to life.
The wedding day started with the ladies all getting ready together, and the guys taking it easy. To make the most of the sunlight, Cassy and Tim opted to do a first look with their photographer, DeGroot Film Co. Their time together during the first look gave them the opportunity to really relish in the moment together. It was finally their wedding day!
Around 4:30 that day, Cassy and Tim said their vows at the ocean front gazebo overlooking the mountains and ocean, all while surrounded by their closest family and friends. Cocktail hour was to follow at the Sea Soul Bar.
Of course, Cassy and Tim looked amazing, but I think you’d agree that their bridal party was on point as well!
At 7:00pm, the newlyweds welcomed their guests to a private reception at the ocean front deck. A full plated meal, open bar, and awesome DJ were enjoyed by all that evening. The party didn’t stop at the end of the reception; they kept the dance moves going late into the night at the resort’s disco.
