This Valentine's Day, Weddings by Funjet is celebrating love by spotlighting one of our many favorite couples - enjoying their first Valentine's Day as a married couple.

Jennifer + Mark, destination wedding at Finest Playa Mujeres
Jennifer and Mark hosted an absolutely lovely and personality-filled wedding at the exquisite Finest Playa Mujeres in Mexico's Caribbean coast in July of 2015. When Jennifer came to us just after Christmas of 2014, she had very clear ideas of what she was looking for in her destination wedding. Her concierge, Samantha, took those ideas, found the perfect hotel 'canvas' and brought Jennifer's vision to come to life. The wedding for this beautiful and vibrant Texas couple was nothing short of dreamy, surrounded by some of the best beaches and turquoise water in the world.
Jennifer described her wedding style as romantic and elegant and wanted to primarily feature colors blush and gold. So for her ceremony, we utilized gold chiavari chairs set in a spiral rather than a traditional aisle, pale blush roses, creamy white accents, blush custom maracas, and some modern elements like a giant LOVE sign and a romantic shoe valet made for a unique, elegant, and still playful ceremony. Our favorite element: her fan programs with mustaches on the flip side which made for some awesome recessional photos!
To continue the romantic elegance through to the cocktail hour and reception, Jennifer and Mark ordered beautiful lounge furniture for casual gathering spaces including romantic chandeliers, a light-up dance floor, elegant "floral wall" for one entire wall of the private beach palapa they used for the reception, long tables with runners of blush roses and greenery, beautiful draped fabric and candles, and whimsical elements like the Senor and Senora signs on the backs of their chairs. This wedding was so beautiful we could list dozens of favorites, but their use of glow sticks and other fun-enhancing elements during the reception took a beautiful wedding and made it one their guests will never forget.
