Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) is the port of entry you will fly into for your Santo Domingo getaway. Being the second largest airport in the Dominican Republic, it is pretty busy, and the check-in process may take a while. Plan to arrive early and wear comfortable shoes. 

The Dominican Republic requires a $20 USD departure tax that's typically included in your airfare. Typically, during your flight, the flight attendant will give you your customs paperwork to fill out on the plane. After you've made it through the immigration desk and grabbed your luggage from baggage claim, you'll go to claims, where officers may check your bags.
