Immigration & Customs
The Dominican Republic requires a $20 departure tax usually included in your airfare. Typically, during your flight, the flight attendant will give you your customs paperwork to fill out on the plane. After you've made it through the immigration desk and grabbed your luggage from baggage claim, you'll go to claims, where officers may check your bags. -
Getting to Your Resort
Amstar provides transportation to and from the airport and your resort, with various options available. You can either share a ride with others or opt for a private transfer. Once you've cleared Customs, head to the transportation area where Amstar staff, easily recognizable by their blue-flowered shirts, will assist you. They'll ensure a safe and comfortable ride to your resort and will also provide transportation to any excursions booked through our site. -

Getting around Punta Cana is pretty straightforward, and there are several ways to explore the area:
- Taxis: Taxis are easily accessible in Punta Cana and are a convenient way to get around. Be sure to agree on a fare or ensure the meter is in use before starting your ride.
