My "go to" hotel in London

This hotel has a lot going for it -- especially the location a few blocks between two tube lines - South Kensington and Gloucester. V&A, Natural History, Science museums a few blocks, excellent restaurants on the same road going toward South Kensington station. Staff are superb (especially Syead Raihan, one of the concierge staff -- so helpful, knows answers to questions, has enormous energy and initiative). Front desk staff are wonderful. Rooms are always clean as are public spaces. Really important? There is heat in the winter and a/c in the summer (I stayed here four times this year), not common in the "charming" hotels so many advocate staying in. Like all hotels in this part of the world, rooms are not huge but there is plenty of space and you have everything you need, including a fridge, great shower/water pressure/hot water. I love that if I get lucky enough to be on a really low floor (1 or 2) I never need to bother with an elevator; I can walk up and down steps. Rooms have stuff I don't use but you might find useful -- a coffee maker, hair dryer, etc.

    A Great London Vacation!

Every thing about our recent stay was very enjoyable! The front desk was friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and kept clean each of the six days we were there. Kudos to the housekeeping staff! The Guest Relations Manager, Durgesh, was so helpful, and he made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks again, Durgesh! We loved the location, too. It was close to the South Kensington and Gloucester Road Tube stations, as well as close to lots of restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, and coffee shops. The Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Natural Science Museum were both within walking distance. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast one morning, and had a beautiful Sunday afternoon tea. The food at both was lovely. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next vacation in London!

    Excellent service

I was really impressed by the friendly way in which the receptionist went about her daily tasks. And anyone who has ever worked at a reception desk knows that life there is not easy. @Hotelmanagement – it shouldn't be very difficult to find out the name of the person. She really does a great job! You are lucky to have an employee like that in your company.

    Excellent hotel

Lovely hotel! The room was spacious was excellently decorated. The gym was small but well equipped to complete a good workout. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and well prepared. I was able to find parking on the street over the weekend too. Highly recommended.
