Very nice hotel in a great location with a really helpful and generous staff.
The hotel location is exceptional. It is literally a few minutes walk from the water, the restaurants, the shops and tourist locations. The hotel went out of its way to make us feel like welcomed Titanium Marriott members, which was unanticipated but greatly appreciated. The hotel room provided was an upgrade and it was spectacular. The rooftop bar/pool area is really nice and provides exceptional viewing opportunities of Malaga and the surrounding area. During our stay, the hotel was hosting Spain's film festival so the staff was dealing with a lot of people, some who are very well known. Overall, the staff did a great job under the circumstance. If you are in Malaga, this is a really good hotel to stay at.

Prime Location But Has Fallen Into Disregard by Management
To write this review was quite a heartbreaking one because I remember the first time I stayed here in March 2023 when I was still considering Spain as my new home, this was actually still a nice hotel. The hotel has clearly fallen quite far from grace. Two years later, the management hasn’t maintained this hotel well, seemingly focusing on “efficient operation” rather than “guest experience. First the minor things: elevators are extremely slow and the elevators you get are almost always the ones that are furthest away from your floor. Don’t know what’s the deal here but clearly they need to fix this technology, if they can call it that. Secondly, air cons don’t work. In March, when the temperature was already 15-17°C, there was no option to put the temperature to 20°C. Because the air-con system is centralized, only heater was activated in March, and the room was constantly a balmy 25°C. The hallway and the lobby actually have much better and more comfortable temperature that’s ideal for sleeping, so this creates a very sweaty night sleep. Check-in and check-out are also a huge chaos nowadays here. It’s not even the high season yet and lines during 15:00-16:00 window hour are already so long it goes from the reception all the way down the stairs to the entrance door. Definitely avoid. If you want a good hotel in the area, use Vincci Hotels.

A nice, slightly dated hotel in a superb location
I was there for three days at the beginning of March. The hotel has a great location in the historic center and close to the port. Everything is within walking distance. I am a Marriott Ambassador, I was upgraded to an apartment, but unfortunately after I got home from the trip it turned out that I was charged more than 60 euros more than I should have according to the reservation (the room was 540 euros for 3 nights). This is the first time this has happened to me at a Marriott hotel. I want to recommend the rooftop bar and restaurant, it has a great view and very good cuisine.

Excellent Location & Very Comfortable
We enjoyed a several day stay at this hotel which was located near many many places we could walk to. Hotel staff were welcoming and we received a very large cake as a bonvoy gold member welcome gift . (A smaller cookie version would have been fine since that was giant for 2 people.) The beds were comfortable as expected at a Marriott property. The hotel offers laundry service but you are charged per item so that would be an exorbitant price if you’ve been traveling and have lots of clothes to wash. Fortunately there’s a laundromat within walking distance and it’s one of the cleanest laundromats we have ever used ! The rooftop bar looks very cool but we never had food and drinks there. We just took a look and were impressed .

Fabulous hotel experience in Malaga!
We absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, it was perfection. On top of great and friendly service in all areas (doormen, front desk, elevator staff, housekeeping and dining staff). We were thrilled to be upgraded at check in to a huge corner suite with a large ocean view balcony from which we watched the fantastic Carnival parade (we hadn't known we'd be there for it and that was fun!). We also found a delicious treat waiting in the room for us. This hotel has a perfect location ...near Cathedral, Alcazaba, Picasso Museum. We took a nice walk to the beach and dined along the water there. We didn't want to leave this wonderful place! Thank you!
