Location, Location, Location!
This was my first trip to Turks and Caicos and I could not have found a better resort to stay at! My room was spacious and well stocked. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. Big shout out to Judy Ann and Marjorie, these ladies were always on the go! A big thank you to Verona for being able to schedule me last minute for a facial and massage, and even staying late to get them both finished! Food variety was wonderful and the beach cannot be beat.! The beach activities were fun to watch, especially the trivia ! It was nice to also have access to the blue Haven, its sister property as well.. my only issue was my last day there when there was no water. While the resort was not responsible for this, there is no communication to guest about the situation. I spoke to the manager about this before I left and gave her my recommendations. Would definitely return.!

Great food for toddlers
We recently chose the Alexandra resort in Turks and Caicos to travel with our toddler. We picked the resort because of the smaller resort and more food options that were toddler friendly. The staff was amazing! Not only were they friendly but they really made efforts to know us as a family. I would like to give a special shout out to Judith snd Judy Ann with the breakfast and lunch service. Our daughter loved seeing them every morning. I would also like to mention Milan with the evening service at the Black Rock Grill. He was an exceptional server.

A Bit Disappointing
First and foremost, the staff was amazingly friendly and gracious. I wouldn't call some of them the most efficient at their jobs (particularly the housekeeping/restock staff), but I was not met with anything less than a respectful greeting and a warm smile everywhere I went. Well done, resort leadership, for instilling that culture. Our villa was very nice, had a beautiful view from our balcony right on the water. Housekeeping was a bit hit & miss, but nothing serious. I also had problems with bug bites. If they are sand fleas as others have alluded, not sure how that happened since I spent less than 10 minutes on the beach in 7 days (too visit a beach) vendor, I stayed at the pool/swim-up bar. Individual food items could be really good, or striving for mediocrity. Breakfast buffet was more than adequate, with indoor or outdoor seating. Lunch was OK, not a lot of variety, mostly pub/fast food offerings. With the exception of the sushi restaurant (quite good), the dinner restaurants requiring reservations were, again, just OK. Also confusing to know which eating stations/restaurants were open. Obviously alcohol is a big part of an all inclusive, and the bars were stocked with a good supply of top quality brands of liquor. Always like to call my alcohol, never trust a well drink. Bartenders were certainly not stingy with alcohol, drinks were potent. Was disappointed no one came around to us at the pool taking drink orders. It wasn't a massive trek to the bar, but the lines could be long. I probably lost 10-15 minutes of pool time with each bar visit. While staying here, you have reciprocal dining privileges at another, neaby resort. It's worth the trip alone (free shuttle) to see the businesses and countryside along the ten minute ride. I thought the food at the "Fire & Ice" there was the best of the trip. Only problem was they had a lounge singer who was entirely too loud. Couldn't hear my family or our server. Overall I'd say it was an OK experience, a bit underwhelming overall for the price. Not as good a value as other resorts in the Caribbean, but a beautiful island with nice people and a place I felt safe.

Perfect beautiful stay!
Alexandra resort was incredible! My husband and I and two other couples went for our 30th anniversary. The resort as well as the sister resort were amazing and beautiful. The food was delicious. The rooms are clean and the people that work there were so incredibly friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good about this resort and its people! Thank you so much for a great stay!

Nice relaxing stay for couples
We had a great week stay at The Alexandra. We traveled for our 25th wedding anniversary. Our goal was to do a whole lot of nothing relaxing together as a couple and it was a really great stay. We liked the smaller footprint of the resort. We probably had the worst room in the resort (2nd floor at the far end of the furthest building) but it was a quick walk to wherever we wanted to go, so I would not worry about room location. We had a 1 bedroom with a kitchen and it was beautifully renovated and spacious. Lovely large patio with chairs and a table. I'm not sure why anyone would want a kitchen in an AI, it was very nice, but not stocked with much of anything, but of course we didn't need anything! We were greeted with rose petals and a bottle of wine for our anniversary. The beach was very nice on this whole stretch. Beach chairs seemed to go early but we managed to get some in the back row whenever we tried. The pool usually had space as well. The resort had a few kids and teens, some spring breakers with their parents, but was quiet and not much going on except in the evening. The entertainment staff did a nice job in the evenings with games and a DJ. We really liked the pool/bar at Blue Haven better so we went over there most of the days. The young staff entertaining at the pool did a nice job each day with something going on several times in the afternoons. Zumba, trivia, etc. For some reason the drinks were better here and they had service at the pool for lunch which was good. The shuttle was about 10-15 min and left The Alexandra on 20 and left BH at 40, starting at 10:20 and ending around that time in the evening. Having both options--one for a nice beach and the other for the nice pool was a real bonus. Dining was good everywhere, but we didn't really like the Taco truck area. We both literally got 1 shrimp in our tacos and a whole bunch of cabbage. So I guess get the skewers if you go there? Fire and Ice was good, Black Rock had a good fillet, and the Fish/sushi was also good. I would say it's a step up from what we've experienced anywhere we have stayed in Mexico. Others have said the staff was great everywhere, but we had really hit and miss service. Some were just not happy to be there. But Judyann was an exception! We would see her morning til evening at the breakfast and Black Rock. She was friendly and fun to chat with. We also had good service from Romario at F/I and Derricka at the excursion desk. We know there a lot of great restaurants in T&C but we had already been all over the island on a previous trip so I would say if you don't really want to roam and just want a relaxing time, this is a great option. We did forget to exchange cash for smaller bills and had a hard time doing that at the resort so make sure you bring your tip money from home. We did go out on the jet skis one afternoon. The water was absolutely beautiful aways out from shore. I would do at least one boat excursion while you're there.
