Mom, son and his girlfriend vacation and dive trip. Rescue certification for me, discover scuba for his girlfriend.
This is my 3rd time back to allegro cozumel in 2 years. The dive team was top notch as always!! We always book premium (it’s not that much more) to get use of the premium bar and their buffet breakfast and lunch, private pool and beach. I don’t have little ones so it’s perfect. The beach is beautiful and kept so clean. I’ve had Jose as my housekeeper the last 2 times, he makes the cutest towel decorations for the bed and if i leave a note he always makes sure i have extra of whatever i need. Please tip them well! Such hard workers. The desk staff and restaurant staff also great! Buffet food pretty good most meals but the specialty restaurants are delicious….book them as soon as you arrive. I can’t rave enough about the diving….i had Paschal and Ida doing my rescue diving certification and they were fun and professional and very serious about me not missing a step in my certification. So rewarding and i’ve been to a lot of dive resorts, but will always come to allegro for my certifications. Jonathon runs a beautiful day to day operation at pro dive. Book your dives ahead of your trip the boats do fill up fast.

An absolute gem of a place, definitely going back
Our family went to allegro Cozumel for a birthday trip and it didn't disappoint! Check in was smooth, our rooms were clean, and the staff were welcoming. The facilities were clean and constantly kept up by the staff, they were very attentive. The food options included a good amount of vegetables and a variety of foods. They had coffee machines to make lattes, cappacinos, etc. The bars were well stocked and drinks tasted great, they weren't watered down. Some of the services we used were the Fish Spa and massage. You MUST try the fish spa, and it comes with a relaxing reflexology massage. We came out with baby soft feet! We also did a couples massage and my husband said it was the best he ever had. The facilities are very clean and the massage quality was excellent. We had access to the First Club Santa Rosa lounge and were very well taken care of. Shout out to the Santa Rosa loung team Omar, Luis, Cristian, Alfredo who made sure we had an incredible experience. They greeted us with smiles, were positive and friendly and made great drinks! We also had great service from Captain Miguel, Chefs Pedro, Rica Roo, and servers Rodrigo, Felix and Henri. We will definitely go back and met a lot of people there who've been back 10, 15 or 20 times so that was a good sign. Lastly, their Beach access was absolutely beautiful, smooth entry to the water, crystal clear views, and safe. 5 stars for allegro.

Family dive vacation
We were greeted with a warm welcome and cold drinks! Very friendly and easy check in. Dinner reservations were not what we had hoped, we were only technically allowed to reserve 2 of our 7 nights in advance and check the night of for remaining nights so spent a lot of dinners at the buffet. Food overall was good, not spectacular except at the oriental restaurant, entertaining and good food! Pools were busy but not too overloaded, pool games such as volleyball and water polo were well organized and fun. David Angle Johnny and Arby were the events guys and were busy making sure we all had fun, and are also great at beach volleyball!! Their spirit and overall presence was awesome and probably the best part of the resort. Rooms were interesting as no sweets but were adjoining back to back so good for families. They were dated without too much space or organization for clothes and dive gear. Rooms were cleaned each day but bathrooms never felt full clean. There was no noise control so some nights people were on patios way too late making a ton of noise and rooms do not seal well. It does look as though the resort had been hit by a storm and rebuilding of the front half stopped with restaurants and pools so odd looking. There was nightly entertainment that was fairly late and focused a bit on kids which seems odd for the timing but still entertaining. Overall we would return as good value for the money with good food and mostly friendly staff.

The hidden gem
We traveled th the resort last week. the entertainment staff was way above average. Diago was the one i remember the most. The bar service was also great! the buffet food was not the best for dinner service. breakfast & lunch were great! Overall, this is a very clean and well-kept resort with nice beach.

Good - would go back but not pay for premium next time.
Overall a good resort. Clean beach, clean rooms. Very friendly & helpful staff everywhere. If you can find Henri Maas - ask him for a Mayan Coffee - fabulous!!! You get 1 dinner reservation for every 3 days of your stay, in order of my preference take the Asian first, Mexican and lastly Italian. Premium (our booking) areas were open to everyone, so save your $$ and just walk in. Around 1/3 of buildings were lost in the fire a few years ago and have not been rebuilt yet so capacity in pool and dining not too bad.
