Small and friendly.
Our check in went smoothly, our room was nice but we had no hot water for most of our stay. The staff was friendly, the food was good.

A home away from home!
It’s our 8th time staying at Allegro Playacar and it truly feels like a home away from home. It’s small, quaint and the facilities, food and service is on point. The three guys running the First Club Angel, Andres and Eder are absolutely wonderful and could not be more helpful. They are kind to the adults and children alike, making them kid-friendly drinks all week long! David the Allegro lifeguard helped both of my kids with a jelly fish and wasp sting. He is gentle, knowledgeable and reassuring. He was quick to assess and treat both situations. We were very grateful to have him around all week. Our housekeeper Ricardo would surprise the kids every morning with a new “animal” on the bed. These small touches go a long way. Mayra the manager of the First Club was very helpful and quick to help with any translations needs. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to families with children. What an amazing place, can’t wait to come back!

Smaller Property with Big Corazon!
Nice decor, fresh luxury bedding! Robes, slippers provided. Close to the beach and beachfront. Close to most amenities. After a heavy rain we had to move to another area ( only our unit flooded) that unit was near Kids Club also wonderful! However given a choice, Worth the upgrade to First Club!Freddy Mendez, Andres, and Angel, we Thank you for all your Service and your hard work and your personalities! You are the best everday! Shout out also to Humberto in the breakfast and lunch area! We loved seeing you again! As always you are a Joy! *be careful if you have a problem. Ask to have them come look! There is a huge difference between A/C dripping and an inch of water covering your floor,ha. Thank you Myra for coming to look and moving us! I know it wasn’t easy for you to do that! But we did appreciate it very much!

great
We stayed at this resort many years ago and fell in love with it. We are returning this coming February, just wondering is there is a lot of seaweed that has washed up on the beaches and if you are still able to walk into town on the beach. Thank you

Get yourself a massage!
We arrive late Sunday night after a long day of travel. Monday we decided to just relax at the resort and my husband insisted on me getting a massage. I myself am a massage therapist and needed one desperately regardless of the travel. I was able to schedule a massage for that same afternoon. The massage: I melted into the table, serine music light aurora therapy, it was so wonderful to spend an hour in quiet. I forgot all about my sore back from the airplane seat, my hands revitalize from countless hours of my personal massage career. The Spa massage therapist, her name is Moncerrat. She was excellent!
