    Beautiful stay in Hawaii

The stay was great! Very friendly and polite staff. We just loved the atmosphere and where the hotel was located it was perfect! We were able to walk to where we needed to go for the most part!! Would definitely book another stay here!! The room was clean and the restroom was pretty big! Also, the other customers were very friendly. We really enjoyed and liked our stay plus to be our first visit we could not have asked for more! Thank you!

    Never Again

Outlets in room did not work. Shower water temperature was either ice cold or scalding hot. Temperature was not affected by the temperature knob. Housekeeping did not wipe down counters. Hotel bar frequently closed early. But my largest issue was with that I reserved and paid for a king room, but when I arrived at the room it was a full double room. This also happened to two of my collegues who were also staying at the Romer at the Ambassador. Even though we all had a reservation confirmation email from the Romer group that stated king room was confirmed we were told that Romer did not have record of the king room reservation and it was just recorded as a standard reservation. The front desk staff was extremely dismissive of this error by the hotel. One collegue was pregnant and traveling with her partner, and after being told there were no king beds left, was able to be accomodated. Myself and my other collegue were willing to remain in the full bed rooms, however when we asked for the price difference to be reimbursed we were told there was no price difference. When I showed the front desk staff memeber that there is a price difference on the Romer Ambassador booking website, they told me that my view was improved and so the price difference was made up for the better view. Firstly, this was incorrect as my room faced a parking garage and dumpster the traffic sounds woke me up nightly. Second, the view did not matter to me as I was attending a conference and not at the room except for sleeping. The front desk staff then told me that due to supply and demand, and that there were no other rooms available they could charge me that rate regardless of what the rate should be. We had chosen Romer at the ambassador due to its location and proximity to the conference center, however I will never return due to the front desk staff's lack of accountability and multiple attempts to miscontrue information. I will also make sure that my institution never recommends sending staff to this hotel when we travel for conferences.

    Not a safe hotel

This is NOT a SAFE place to stay. At 2:10 am, a person claiming to be from maintenance was attempting to break into our room on the 8th floor using a wire and pipe under the door and a saw or something similar on the deadbolt. The management gave some lame excuse that it was an engineer and he thought the room was empty. Ridiculous. The man made no sense. And if he was a hotel employee, why not use a room key??? The room is microtel size with 18 inches between the bed and the wall in all directions. The only place to have a suitcase was in the bathroom.

Phenomenal stay, 100% will be back

Romer Waikiki at the Ambassador is the place to stay in Waikiki. The accommodation was accessible, beautiful, and clean. The staff were thoughtful and friendly. Favorite Son was the perfect mix of office coffee shop and delicious happy hour.

    Great experience

A nice hotel but not necessarily a 4 star facility. The staff and location were 5 star! Great location in Waikiki. Walking distfrom beach restaurants and shopping. Outstanding customer service. Notably William ensured my wife and I had a great stay. He and the staff answered all questions about available local resources. Parking is expensive $51 a day.
