Feb 23, 2025All ocean front spectacular views
Booked through Costco but my wife already had stayed here before some 18 years ago. First the good. All the rooms are ocean facing, some 40 feet from the water and so they have some of the best views of any hotel here in Ka’anapali. You look down and can see turtles near shore, occasional bigger fish and whales in the not too distant ocean. Bring binoculars. You’re so close that you hear the waves breaking all day and night. Some might not like trying to go to sleep with the sound of waves but we love it. The room itself is fairly spacious,has a balcony, a small kitchenette, a smallish bathroom, compact washer and dryer(stacked) and 2 nice closets. It’s nothing fancy but is clean and works. Great location as you’re a 7 minute drive to Whalers village, 10 minutes to Nāpili-Honokōwai bay, 12 to Kapalua bay Plenty of free self parking. They have a concierge in the lobby who will book you on any type of tour. The bad is there are no blackout curtains so you get up with the sun. Also there is a warning not to leave food etc out as apparently it attracts bugs, although we’ve had no such problem. There’s no restaurant or bar, so no breakfast included. But you can walk few hundred feet on the beach to Dukes or short walk across the street to Java jazz or the food trucks adjacent to the hotel. In summary, you can’t beat the closeness to the sand or the views as a consequence. That to me trumps it all!

The Sleep Number bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The Mahana has incredible views. We watched the Whales and Turtles from our balcony. The Mahana is an amazing ocean front complex that is right on the water. We can't wait to go back.

A fine stay with some deficiencies
Everything was excellent except for a few things: - Cleanliness of the room is 4 rather than 5 because we saw a few cockroaches in the kitchen. This is unacceptable. - Internet is not as fast as it could've been. - The mattress in the master bedroom is either too old or too soft and needs replacement. My wife woke up every morning with backpain. Overall experience is wonderful as always in Kaanapali (this is our sixth visit). Thank you, Eugene Nizker, Vancouver Canada

Amazing Maui Vacation Property!
AMAZING PROPERTY! We stayed in units 614 & 613, a 1BR and a Studio, just perfect for a family vacation. The views from your living room are just breathtaking as you stare at the surf while sipping on coffee each morning watching the whales. The property is quiet, clean, everyone is just so nice. We just felt so relaxed in these beautifully furnished condos. Location is convenient to everything you would want to have access to on Maui. The worst part, the week had to end. Can not wait to head back, we will certainly be staying at the Aston Mahana at Kaanapali again when in Maui. Aloha!

Aston Mahana a wonderful place to stay
Wow, what an amazing resort for my family to enjoy the New Year. We recently stayed over the New Year week with our kids and found this was an excellent place to land. The rooms were well decorated, comfortable and clean. We would spend our early mornings with the coffee provided, enjoying the splashing of whales on the horizon and turtles in the reef in front of the resort. Each morning we were met with rainbows day after day. The Aston Mahana had everything we needed and more. It was steps away from food trucks, shops and restaurants which made the location very helpful to grab something quickly if needed. We were able to meander down the beach in the evenings and in the afternoons enjoyed reading on chase lounges hearing the waves crashing on the shore. We stayed in rooms 613 and 614, which made it convenient to be with our adult daughters but gave us all the space we needed. The accommodations made this a special trip for our family and we appreciate the helpful staff and beautiful place to relax, unwind and make memories.
