Sheldon Avila Beach
Great beach! Sheldon at Schooner Bar is the best. Made a delicious cocktail and was very nice and responsive. Good vibes all around man. Yeah. It’s nice to have a chill bartender at a beach bar, it makes all the difference for the vacation vibes if you know what I mean! :)

Wonderful week in Paradise
We loved the Avila. Thibisay was very helpful. She helped us with local places to visit and where to get the best pumpkin pancakes. The beach was beautiful and we loves seeing all the fish! Walking around the island was so easy from the resort. Resort was wonderful! We will be back!

Thibisay Rocks!
Thibisay was an amazing bartender! We had an amazing week and she made it that much better! She was super friendly and the drinks are fantastic! The food at the beach was so delicious! Especially burger and my husband will never forget the cheese balls. We can’t wait to come back. We love Avila Beach Hotel!

Great location. Highly recommend
We had a wonderful time. The drinks were great the food was delicious. Thibisay at the beach bar was so friendly and warm. We'll miss her. I can't wait to come back in the future. Everything was so clean and well maintained. The surrounding town was excellent to walk around and try different locations.

Nice Stay
This is a nice older but charming resort. The grounds are very well kept and tropical. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food in both restaurants was good and the bar drinks were made well. We stayed in the “LaBelle Alliance Oceanfront” room. The room and bathroom were large with plenty of storage space and included a small refrigerator. With that being said I felt the room was very bare with no decor, cement floors, cheap looking furniture, and stains on the sitting chair. This is not a romantic plush room but more of just a typical Motel 6 room. The bathroom is dark and gloomy making it tough to put on makeup. There is not a shower door so water does splash out onto the floor area of the bathroom. The shower water is never more than lukewarm. But the room had a beautiful view and sitting out on the pretty patio was a highlight for us. The area surrounding the hotel can be a little intimidating with many abandoned buildings or steel bars on the houses and grocery store. Normally, there were people out walking to dinner etc so we never felt unsafe. The Wine Cellar restaurant down the street was a fabulous evening with excellent food and atmosphere. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the hotel and exploring Curacao. We were glad we had rented a car to check out other areas of the island which has more beautiful beaches.
