Best beach. Best Resort. Best sunset!
Amazing Staff & Fabulous Resort January 2025 We are back!!! Every year my entire family go on a well deserved vacation and this year was no exception. Knowing that our needs will be met is comforting. Our children have severe food restrictions, and Anaphylactic Food allergies to several foods. This makes it extremely difficult to travel with peace of mind. Our previous experience with the Azul team accommodating our family’s needs made us choose Azul resorts again. Before we arrived, we contacted the GM Rudy Richardson. Rudy was able to connect us with his Head Chef Sergio and we carefully explained to him our food restrictions and allergies, unlike other resorts Chef Sergio knew exactly what to do and had it all ready for us at arrival. Chef Sergio & his team also helped organize each meal very carefully to avoid any cross contamination. We are very gratefully thankful to Chef Sergio & his team🙏. Everyday Chef Sergio and his team made a point to meet with us and discuss our reservation & menu. They went over & above to prepare the finest meals. Thank you. The waitstaff are an amazing team of girls! At Mahagony; hats off to Adassa the supervisor, waitresses Marion, Tashanda, Ayana and Sanette! Thank you for having our drinks & table ready for us. They knew our girls allergies and coordinated with the chefs to make sure our girls food was safe. These ladies had it down to a T, they remembered what each of us drank, the sugar, honey & hot sauce! Thank you! The Beach!!!! Is priceless even with the resort at high capacity we had 8 beach lounges and 1 beds every morning, fresh towels and freshly raked sands ... We walked the beach and I can tell you that Azul had the cleanest beachfront, no seaweed, and the softest sand ever! The water, well, thats why you go to Negril ... crystal clear waters ... if you go early in the mornings you will be greeted by 2 beautiful black sting rays and a large sand ray and if you are lucky a guest appearance of 3 dolphins. The most stunning sunsets I've ever seen! Mr. Rudy Richardson, the General Manager, made it possible for our dietary needs to be met and our food allergies to be accommodated. We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely return, hopefully to a much needed renovation. Thank you again We will be back. The Dhalla Family

Terrible Experience
This is not a 5 star resort. The pictures online don’t transfer over. It feels like the resort is doing poorly financially, they had low inventory across the board. They also tried to check me into a “lower” level room than what I paid for. I had to call my vacation provider to force them to give me the room I paid for. I lost 3 hours of my vacation because of this. The food is mediocre, the resort is banged up and the staff is not motivated to deliver high quality service. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are out of business soon. Only bright side was the location. The Negril beaches always deliver.

Great experience aside from some hiccups, food is inconsistent!
Overall a great resort with some hiccups. My husband and I travelled to Negril for the first time. I am vegetarian, my husband is not. I will write the pros and cons below Pros: Well laid out Overall good vegetarian options at most restaurants Beach is amazing , saw stingrays, starfish And more Most of the staff were great Awesome nightly entertainment Keke and Mr.Beats entertained us daily Rooms were clean and spacious Drinks were not watered down at all Concierge staff were amazing Main bar staff were excellent House wine was actually quite good Cons: Extremely slow service everywhere- Bars and restaurants Hallways leading to suite were dark and dreary Food was hit and miss at all restaurants- it’s like there was a different chef daily.. we went to the Italian restaurant the first night and it was amazing then the next time we went it was awful even though I ordered exactly the same thing! For a Karisma resort it was quite shocking. We did notice that some people from Mexico were present to assist in fixing the food issues. Needs work… The resort is quite tired and in need of some TLC Tips- *Know that traffic is heavy , it took us 3 hours to get from Montego Bay to Negril. Should take 1.5 hours. Be prepared ** No fault of the resort** Bring a floaty for the sea, such a beautiful sea - clear, blue and warm. There are cats on the resort- if you like cats bring treats, food, flee collars Bring your own travel cup to keep drinks cool Offsite must do’s- Try Ivan’s restaurant located on a cliff in Negril, great experience at sunset! Concierge will assist you in booking a reservation and driver! Ricks cafe is also a must for first time goers! We have travelled many times and really the resort is decent if you get it for the right price. I will be back again this year (2025) to give it another chance.

Gorgeous beaches and incredible hospitality
The beach and the people make the experience here incredible! Tavaidia was incredible throughout our week. Food at the restaurants and pick up spots were great and we loved afternoons at the hibiscus pool. The rooms and buildings have gotten a little run down since our last visit, but the beach and the water activities are great

Cautionary Tale
Overall the resort was OK. The staff were friendly & the nightly entertainment was fun. Our experience at Azul Beach Resort Negril was shaped by one negative event. My wife had reserved through the hotel a “dinner on the beach” for my birthday, as a surprise . She went to our table ahead of me. When I got to the table, it was directly in the beach sand and tilted. My wife was crying as the table wasn’t on a platform sitting within an open air structure . That was our experience when holidaying at other all inclusive resorts. When served the food was barely warm. We mentioned to the two servers about the table being in the sand as we were concerned about the red coloured bugs we had seen during day lounging. The younger server stated that you had to ask for dinner in the structure and pay extra for it. Astonished at the whole scenario when asked what to do about it they replied they were “sorry” & left. I presumed that they didn’t know what to do with a woman crying. Twice attempted to speak to the general manager. Both times the person wasn’t available. Front desk did not enquire about the reason for the manager. Nor did they offer any help. We also informed the concierge about the dinner & asked for a refund. All she could offer was a 2 for 1 spa treatment . We declined the offer as it was offered the same by spa personnel the day before. Frustrated with the lack of customer service from personnel we emailed from home. Again asked for a refund to resort managers & upper management. Both declined. Managers stated they asked their team & all reported that nothing was mentioned to them. That is incorrect. My wife & I have no need to create statements to back up any concerns we have. Again questionable about the process between managers & staff polled. What has been offered was a very ingenuous “goodwill gesture “ that included a number of restrictions with an room upgrade & dates we could use it. We suggest be informed at all times!
