Fantastic hotel
Stayed here for my husbands 40th with family. Brilliant hotel plenty to do within the complex. Tui rep Laura was amazing! Our flight was cancelled and she handled it brilliantly taking away all our stress even reminding us to complete a new E visa with new dates which saved time at the airport. Brilliant service around the pool from the waiters especially Juan and Rom. The entertainment staff were great and made sure to include everybody in activities. Plenty of choice at the buffet for all 3 meals. Book A la carte restaurants straight away as they go quick! Will definitely recommended this hotel.

Excellent
The most beautiful and fun vacation ever! The food and drinks were amazing, the staff was amazing, and the entertainment was amazing! Lots of gift shops, lot of pools and great food everywhere all-inclusive and the drinks. I think I gained 20 lbs. on this trip. The resort offered amazing tours. we went to monkey land, Party boat, buggy rides, chocolate tour you name it we did it!

Mid-stay review
Currently staying the Bahia Principe Grand Aquamarine. I usually hold my reviews until after my trip; however, there have been two staff members that have been so amazing that I just had to submit a review now. We have a king bed in our room, but there was only an electrical outlet on one side of the bed. We need electrical outlets on both sides of our bed for various electrical devices. After a long while, it was becoming apparent to us that there were no extension cords. Fortunately, a technician was sent to our room to see what he could do. Alex Yunior Soto used his creativity and ingenuity to solve our issue. He was friendly, courteous, and respectful of our space. He was amazing! Thank you so much Alex! The other person who has been completely amazing and has made our stay that much more wonderful is Juan by the pool serving drinks. His energy is completely infectious and energizing! He’s the type of person who seems to really enjoy his work. He engages everyone he comes in contact with. Thank you very much Juan for your energy and enthusiasm! At this time, the only thing I’m not liking is how some staff appear to be doing their jobs begrudgingly. No pleasantries, no smiles, speaking over guests at each other in Spanish so that non-Spanish guests can not understand. Some of us do understand Spanish and some of the staff’s discussions are not appreciated. If you choose to work in the hospitality field, there should be a certain level of decorum and professionalism. I understand everybody can have a bad day, but it seems more of a cultural thing at this resort compared to others’ I’ve stayed at in Punta Cana.

Only good thing is the beach, otherwise NOTHING good about this resort - especially the food - inedible.
The food was terrible - REALLY BAD. Staff was unfriendly. We asked for King bed (for a couple) and were given 2 queen beds. Music was horrible - same poor choice boring music everywhere. Nightclub at the "Village" was a joke - loud noise instead of music one could enjoy. No activities other than the repetitive tiresome music and dance by the staff. Quality of bed, mattress and room was a 1/10. Staff did not understand English and gave wrong information. Food on the menu was nothing like it actually is supposed to be. Hawkers trying to sell stuff EVERYWHERE in the resort - significantly worse when trying to relax on the beach. And this is NOT "all inclusive" - there are multiple ways this resort tries to upcharge or make guests spend money.

Great overall trip
The good, food was really good, good selection, good access ro neighboring resorts, safe, service was average, a la cartes where better than average, pool was nice, lots of chairs around the pool, drinks where OK, hotel and grounds very clean, lots of tropical trees and greenery, beach was very good and lots of chairs , safe to walk the beach for kilometers in either direction, clinic which we needed to use was very helpful, To critique, if you plan on a room facing the pool be aware of the nightly entertainment is loud in the evening till 11 pm . Be aware there is a constant flow of vendors at the beach , it just gets a bit much. We enjoy walking but as others mentioned, it's a bit of a walk to the beach. My last comment which is no fault of the resort is the disrespectful people who yell in the hallway at night, slam doors, yell or talk excessively loud at each other in their rooms or on their patios at night. Doesn't matter where you go it's always a problem, just have to bring it up.
