Some good and. Ad
Just got home from a week away with a group of 14 friends and family. Overall good with a few cons. Rooms are spacious and clean and housekeeping did a great job. No musty smell in rooms. Check in went well but the next day there was some confusion with room numbers so we all had to go back to the lobby and confirm our information. Pool area- the entertainment crew is fantastic. Always trying to engage the guests and offered a variety of activities. Had to okay the chair game and be up by 5 am most days to insure a seat. There must be a solution to this problem. The beach area was about a ten minute walk and you had to be there early as well to secure a seat, again why should people have to be down there by 7:00 to secure a seat. Beach was nice although many vendors there. Staff at lobby- because we were a large group I called the hotel a few days ahead of time to book reservations for our al La cartes. After a fair bit of time the reservations were secured and sent to the app a group of six and the other eight were sent by email from the front desk. The day after arrival I checked with the concierge and I asked them to check our reservations and was assured everything was in place. The first two nights when we arrived we had problems at the door but they eventually accommodated us. The third night there was a lot of back and forth with staff as they said we didn’t have a reservation. After about 15 minutes they accommodated us but by this time I was extremely frustrated. The next day I was back at the concierge desk asking them to confirm reservations. After speaking to one staff I was passed to another, that staff told me she wouldn’t deal with me and I needed to leave. I waited to speak to the manager who told me first that I had deleted my reservations from the app although they were cleary still showing on my phone. Then she told me the email that was sent was fake which it clearly wasn’t. After about an hour of trying to have them help me secure reservations I was told to come back the next day. We didn’t have a not get reservations again until the last night there. This whole experience left be very frustrated and angry. The restaurants on the resort are part of the overall resort experience and there should be access to them especially when we clearly took the time to make reservations. The staff at the concierge desk very very I accommodating and one was very rude. For this reason we will not be returning

The room fell short of 5* but closer to a 3* . The grounds were beautifully maintained. Entertainment options were enjoyable.
In our two-week stay, we found that the buffet had no variety. In contrast with Bahia Turquoisa and Grand Bahia, which had theme nights. The room was 3.5 due to a broken door latch, a clogged toilet, an air conditioner didn't work properly, and missed water delivery. Miss Yaneiri maintained our room to high standard. The second week, we found out that we had transportation to A la carte restaurants, which were definitely a 5*. Given the 9 previous times, we expected Aquamarine to be superior to Turquoisa and Bahai Grand, considering the difference in price.

it was my second time at aquamarine i j ust love it .the best animation team ledy oscary rusayeli jose oblea imoea gribiel. all amazing know how to make it fun . everything is 10 on 10 EVERYONE AT RECEPTION FANTASTIC , NEED SOMETHING FIXED THEY FIX RIGHT AWAY ,

Mixed feelings
I stayed at the Bahia Principe Aquamarine Hotel from April 1, 2025 to April 8, 2025. My experience was sometimes good and sometimes very bad. During my stay, I was disrespected by two hotel employees. One of them, named Lucia, refused to serve me mineral water. This employee was very rude to me. The second employee at the Aquamarine Hotel's beach bar on April 6, 2025, disrespected and insulted me by loudly stating that I was an infiltrator in the hotel. This employee called me a thief for having three Bahia Principe bracelets of different colors. On April 8, 2025, I asked a porter named Adolfo to take me to the main entrance of the resort. Adolfo began to drive one of the electric trains with one hand and with the other, he held my suitcase, which weighed over 20 kilos. I called his attention out of fear that he may dropping it. The porter, Adolfo, ignored my warning and after a few minutes, Adolfo dropped my suitcase with all my belongings. My suitcase suffered many scratches when it fell. This porter didn't even apologize to me and then tried to force me to open my suitcase without any legal authority to do so. In my opinion, part of the problem is that the resort employees try to force customers to tip them, and if you don't tip them, you get poor service in retaliation. Through this comment, I ask hotel guests not to tip unless they receive excellent service. Why should we tip when we receive mediocre service? Finally, I would like to thank Mr. Julio in the Aquamarine Reception area for his professionalism and help during my stay, as well as Mrs. Rosa from the Aquamarine Hotel cleaning department.

Horrible experience
Currently at the aquamarine and I have to say it has been a terrible time since our group of 14 has been here 5 days ago. When we arrived they couldn’t find our names and once we got that straightened out it wasn’t the room we requested but it was 10 at night and just wanted to get settled . The rooms the superior junior suite was very nice, big and had everything we needed. That evening we all went on the Bahia app and had all our names and room numbers wrong so we informed the front desk and they requested that we go down with our passports again so we did so and they told us all was fixed and we checked the app and it was the same and still is the same. Our first morning going back to my room after breakfast I slipped on water that was the tiles by the pool and cracked my head open and hurt my hand. They placed me in a chair and gave me spray and liquid glue to stitch up my head. The gentleman helped my husband get me back to the room asked me if I wanted to seee a doctor I said I didn’t just wanted to lay down at that point and he said can I bring you a liability form for you to sign for the hotel, wow that is some compassion. We went on the app before we left booked all our restaurants and received a confirmation email from the hotel. When we went to our first ala carte they told us there was no reservation so after showing the proof and waiting twenty minutes after arguing they finally let us in. The next day we went to guest services and asked them to confirm our reservations and she went on the computer and said all was fine. The next night the same problem, not only does it make us look like idiots holding up the guests behind us but so frustrating. My sister goes to guest services the next morning again tells them what happened and is getting nowhere and the lady tells my sister to go away she’s not dealing with her anymore. My sister told her she wasn’t going anywhere and another lady came over explained our problem again and she said would get it all straightened out. When we confirmation had wrong times and for four people and one reservation for 10 people. Back to the desk we go again and they tell us we deleted our reservations and that is what they gave us which was a lie.. So frustrated with this resort would never return and would not tell anyone to come here. If we are a group of 14 how would they ever handle a big crowd for a wedding. The Only good thing this resort has going for it is the entertainment team it is one of the best I have seen on my many trips to the Dominican Republic.
