Holiday | Family During my stay I had mostly positive experiences. I will expound on those. The check in process was smooth front desk associate was very pleasant. The Nyam Restaurant staff were pleasant and welcoming, the variety of dishes were also excellent. Now let's talk about the negative. While at the buffet on my 1st morning a glass fell and broke and I got a scrape on my foot, the staff was amazing they came to my assistance however there wasn't a first aid kit so they couldn't find anything to help with the bleeding. There was no bandages or alcohol wipes, not even a band-aid.(They did find a band-aid after about 5 minutes) I'm surprised that such a big hotel was not equipped with the basics to assist a guest. Bahia please let this be the catalyst for you to do better and be proactive and not reactive if anything of this nature should occur again. It could have been worse. Also there were roaches on the property, (I have pictures). I also had a negative experience with the front desk staff after check in, they were condescending and had an attitude, I felt it's because I wasn't of the Caucasian persuasion because they were nice to them. They were short with me. I will say though the check in associate was very pleasant, I forgot her name but she is exempt. The others after her need to treat each guest the same courtesty there shouldn't be preferential treatment based on one's race. I'd like to give a big shout out to Carlene from Nyam Restaurant and Ms. Landon from Housekeeping.

I had read the rating of this hotel before my travel and made me doubt my choice, but I was so wrong. We had one of the best experiences at this hotel. The room was clean and welcoming. The pools were amazing, there were lots of option for the food and drinks through the day. The most amazing part of the stay was the staff, who were always courteous and full of energy. Special mention for the kids facilities and kids club at this hotel. Our kids were very happy there and didn't want to come out. There were lots of kids activities during our stay, not to forget the foam party at the pool. I would strongly recommend this hotel for a family holiday in Jamaica.

Couples getaway
I just want to say that this was quite possibly the best vacation we have ever had. The resort is absolutely phenomenal. We booked an ocean front room and were not disappointed, right on the ocean with a massive balcony. Room was gorgeous, very clean, complimentary bubbly and welcome sign on the door. The views were breathtaking. The whole place was extremely well kept, staff were very attentive and everybody was soooo friendly. The food was fabulous, the buffets had a fantastic choice to pick from and the staff were very accommodating to my husband who is Vegan (this was our only concern before we came) we didn't have to worry, it was amazing. But the piece de resistance has to be Don Pablo. We booked here for several nights and the staff were amazing. We struck up a great relationship with the chef who prepared special Vegan meals for my husband, and we had possibly the best waitress on the planet - "Brittany", you made us feel so special every night we were at Don Pablo and on Valentines day we found rose petals and an ice bucket with wine at our table. Please give Brittany a pay increase, she totally deserves it, she was absolutely amazing and clearly loved her job. (Please tell Brittany that the English couple from New York said Hi !!!) I can't say enough good things about this place and I could go on forever but I will just say don't wait, book now, you will not regret it. We hope to be back next year. Thank you for an absolutely amazing experience. Oh and if you need a taxi for a day out, ask for Andrew, he was the best.

Run down room toilet didn't work water leaks on first floor elevator smelled like a service elevator entertainment was lacking but wanted to be rated the second they had you up and doing something went to Tepenyaki where they guy cooked and the show was him singing just sad the worst was the restraunt don Pablo and Kevin a waiter that was terrible and rude the flamboyet kept setting the the alarm off the sea view room had a great view. The Jerk chicken and patties were good. A lot of the staff seemed unfriendly like when you asked them for something it was if you were putting them out also I heard while we were there someone had $300 stolen from the room safe

Don’t expect much
So this is my 5th visit to a Bahia Principe resort and I convinced my friends to go here because I had been to Mexico 4 times and Punta Cana once and was never disappointed. Unfortunately, Jamaica did not live up to my expectations. The food,even in the gourmet restaurants was terrible. The room was nice but one day I didn’t get any maid at all. The hotel advertised a casino and disco. There is none. Only one bar area open at night and at 11 pm. It’s karaoke which is funny the first night but that’s about all I could handle. Good thing is that the beach and pool was nice although not enough seats at pool due to people reserving and then not actually being there. Signs everywhere saying No Reserving! The elevator were all mid marked so it was hard to navigate around. Weather was great but that’s all I’ll say
