Budget friendly and kids loved it
Pros: - Budget friendly - Supervised activities for kids (both indoors and outdoors) - Entertainment team is awesome (circus, magic show, dance show, beach party, kids disco) - Tons of adult activities - The Bouganville resort (adults-only) a short walk. We had kids so weren't allowed to enter. - The buffet is grand and awesome - Lush green and well maintained - Free activities like kayak, etc. included in reservation Cons: - Very limited food options. - We didn't like the food at any 3 ala-carte restaurants (just stuck to the 2 buffet places) - Nothing much to do outside the resort unless you take a long drive - Beach water is very murky

Good holidays
Perfect stay, very good food and drinka. Room, pool, animation team, garden also very good. Staff was friendly. Water in the sea wasn't clear at all but water was warm and beach was nice. I recommend this hotel. It was our honeymoon trip and we do not regret our choice.

Absolutely awful and a complete waste of my money
**A Shambolic Experience with TUI – A Company to Avoid** I booked a 7-day holiday to the Dominican Republic with TUI, departing on October 7th, and it has been an utter disaster. I was promised a hotel on the main strip, close to shops, bars, and restaurants, but instead, I was stranded in the middle of nowhere at the Bahia Principe Grand La Romana. I had to spend over £300 on taxis just to escape the resort and access basic amenities. The hotel had dreadful food and no entertainment beyond a laughable karaoke night. This holiday was a blatant mis-sell by TUI. Adding insult to injury, I contacted TUI just 14 hours after booking to request a change to a better-located hotel in Punta Cana. The flights and dates were identical, and the alternative hotel was even cheaper, but my request was denied outright. TUI’s refusal to accommodate such a simple change shows a shocking lack of flexibility and customer care. The real nightmare, however, has been TUI’s appalling customer service. Their complaints process, which claims to resolve issues within 28 days, is nothing but a sham. It’s been nearly two months since I submitted my complaint, and I’m still waiting for a resolution. Despite chasing up my case more than five times, no one has contacted me. On Saturday, November 23rd, I spoke to yet another representative who informed me that my complaint “shows as resolved” in their system. How can it possibly be resolved when no one has even bothered to contact me? I am still completely in the dark about what’s happening. This is absolutely shambolic. When I pressed further, the representative admitted she wasn’t sure why it showed as resolved but promised someone would get in touch. I asked when, as I’ve already been waiting for almost two months, and her response was, “I’m not exactly sure.” That kind of answer is insulting and does nothing to instill confidence. To make matters worse, she acknowledged that several notes had been made from my previous four calls, yet no action has been taken. I shouldn’t have to keep chasing TUI to resolve their own mess. Why has my query been falsely marked as resolved when nothing has been done? I am now back at square one, still waiting, still none the wiser, and still dealing with the fallout of TUI’s incompetence. This experience has been nothing short of appalling. TUI’s complete lack of communication and inability to resolve this issue in a timely manner is disgusting. I’ve spent thousands with TUI, including recent trips to Bali and an upcoming holiday to Dubai in January, but this will be my last. TUI has utterly failed me as a customer and proven they do not care about their customers or their reputation. Avoid TUI at all costs. Their misleading practices, atrocious customer service, and failure to resolve complaints are unacceptable. They’ve wasted my time, money, and trust, and I will never book with them again.

Disappointing Hotel
Please be aware that on arrival you will be told that this hotel only has the 1 pool and 1 main restaurant. However there is a sister hotel on the same site called the Bouganville which offers 6 restaurants and 5 pools but to use their facilities you will need to pay an extra $15pppn. The site itself looks impressive with well maintained gardens and bright decor throughout. The staff were in abundance and approachable but be sure to tip the good ones as there is a tendency to favour other nationalities ahead of visitors from the UK. The rooms really need updating as they are very basic with some having a poor water supply which meant trickling showers and slow running basin water. Food left a lot to be desired and not consistent throughout our 14 day stay. Food that was meant to be hot was cold and be careful when you leave your table for another course because they might just clear your table including your drinks. Spanish speaking visitors were greeted more pleasantly with the restaurant staff and were always served more promptly. Be also aware that you have to deal with Timeshare/Privlege Club salespeople who are resident on site and are persistent to say the least. Power cuts were common place and be prepared to be bitten frequently with the local insect community either by the pool or in your bed. Entertainment was poor both outdoor and in the evening both of which should have been better. This was supposed to be my partner’s special birthday holiday but it’s been our biggest disappointment to date. Probably a 3 star at best. TUI personnel not helpful on arrival at the airport which was very intimidating with taxi drivers vying for your business. On the plus side, apart from the rain, the weather was good.

Amazing Vacation
This resort is beautiful. The food is awesome. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are so comfortable. I cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel. Everyone goes out of there way to make your stay so pleasant. I will not list names, as I do not want to leave anyone out. From the reception to the buffet staff to the room cleaners and the bar staff, you are all amazing, and deserve to be commended. The beach is beautiful, even though the water is murky. I would recommend this resort to anyone
