family vacation failed
Front desk staff is not intentive. Rooms are VERY dated and are in need of an update. Food is mediocre at best. Buffet variety is poor. Quality of food is poor. Oriental Takara Restaurant is a must though. I am unable to recommend this property.

great hotel
we just back from holiday, in Bahia Principe Punta Cana.7 peoples,3 families,all of us can recommend this hotel to everyone,families,friends etc good food(lots of choise from fruits,yoghurts,salads,meats,seafoods etc),pools clean,see view is absolutely great,rooms cleaned every day,daily entertainment also is good,price wasnt so bad for that holiday(flight from UK),helpfull staff always answered if had issue,so really recommended 🌞🥃🌡🍹

What a terrible vacation extremely Dissapointed guest
This place is in Dire Need of renovations as old as it is. it's still original. We had a terrible experience at this hotel from the check-in to the checkout. we had aprox 5 issues with this hotel . 1st problem we get to the hotel around 2 pm. we check in our bags with the Bell hop, and we're told to come back at 3 pm. for check-in and to get room keys . When we arrive back at 3 pm we get this front desk clerk who must have been new cause he was totally confused when he finally got it somewhat correct he assigns my room which my original room was toward the entrance of the resort and I wanted it closer to the main pools and ocean so the front desk guy says they have 2 rooms available in the area I want but there was gonna be an additional cost for that room which I said ok that's what I wanted for my family so I went to pay it no problem they charged me a extra $160 for 5 days for the better room . So after being at the desk for over 1 hour and a half in the dying heat, there are no fans at the check-in desk for the customer only behind the desk for the employees under the counter, mind you . So I get my room the bell hop gives us a ride to our new room and as my family is walking into our new room my daughter using her bracelet to open the door and a poor lady was standing there naked as we were walking into her room and immediately we closed the door and the bell hop drove us back to the lobby to figure out this huge mistake felt so bad for this lady in her room she was totally violated by this hotel due to there incompantance. I get to desk and they say sorry the same guy who gave us the room in the 1st place no I'm so sorry let me get my manager nothing sorry was all that was said and they handed the bell hop another room key which that took another 30 mins to do we we are off again to our new room 2nd floor building room looks ok and now our vacation starts with all this back and forth nonsense my kids finally get into room to go swimming and we walk down to get our towels and they are out of towels and tell us the pool closes in 10 mins which is at 6pm mind u we check in at 3 pm but with all the mess we lost day 1 . Next issue #2 we finally get to the pool next day in the morning and there is a wave pool that you surf on which we thought was included in a all inclusive resort the show it on there site nothing about mentioning there is a fee to use this wave surf ride so ofcourse we do it cause that's the 1st thing we see . Then, every day after that they don't leave you alone to do the surf wave ride again I tell them they got me the 1st time I'm good then they start giving deals to keep doing it nonstop so annoying . Next issue #3 place is infested with Misqotoes, my poor wife and daughter, so bring bug sprays a must . Next problem #4 goto a restaurant that you are given when you check in to select 2 restaurants from a list of sit down dinners which they don't tell you either when you book resort you find out when you get there . It was called the Garden Grill, the version of a steakhouse on site. I sit down with my family, and they give you a menu that has certain foods that are included. They never tell you additional charges until you get there if you want a porterhouse or different cut steak . So I ordered my drink and meal I order a beer, got my beer, drank it, and my beer glass was broken and I felt a piece of glass on my lip it was broken i call manager over to explain about this broken glass and he said again this hotels famous words sorry and he ordered me another beer mind you now my dinner has arrived before I ever got my replacement beer so I didn't drink it I was pissed . Next issue #4, we get a day of rain at the resort in the middle of the afternoon and when my wife went to room with my daughter and she calls me on my cell phone I went to play ping pong with my son honey can you come to our room there is water everywhere coming from the ceiling from the roof I called the front desk to let them know not once but 3 times no one comes now again I'm pissed I come to room the water was in the entrance and hallway going into the bathroom I called again the front desk to send someone to clean this issue to send maintenance again no one comes but a housekeepers with 3 towels cause we also called for towel and she took all the soaked towels that I myself had to clean the water cause no one came no management no supervisors nothing at this resort it runs itself I guess not 1 phone call from a manager a boss nothing I went to front desk and asked for the hotel general managers telephone number business card anything email the front desk lady said mangers has no direct line or email totally insane no ???? From her is there a problem can I help you nothing she tells me to goto help customer service desk which that is a joke as well . Mind you this is the 2nd time we came to this hotel chain 1st tine we stayed at there resort called fantasia no issues but here at the grand or Punta cana side terrible I will never come to this place again this hotel owes me and my family a sincere apology and should make up to my family a better experience then they offered us . Seems they don't care I was able to get this off my chest cause had no management to speak too all of this could have been prevented if they knew how to run a hotel

February 2025 60th birthday
Why is so difficult to get someone to help me? First time going to Punta Cana, this coming February and the reason I choose this hotel is because the VP of the company I work recommended me this one, co workers, me and my husband will be celebrating our 60th birthday, we have 30 family members that everyone already booked and will be guests there, the quote they sending because is not a wedding I will be paying the triple of the wedding package, from $600, I got quoted rounding $4000.00, is this make sense? Can I change hotel? I’m working on this is very difficult now because all my family already booked, I’m so disappointed

Amazing place , highly recommended
Amazing experience and 10/10 for everything , highly recommended from all the aspects . A La Carte restaurants that we can highly recommend are : The Grill, ÎL Capricio, The Greek and Thali. We also like to mention that we spent our time mainly at Amber and we ate most of the time at Palmyra , high quality food and drinks
