Solo male travelers be aware
I have always had a real love for the Dominican Republic and have spent most of my vacations in this beautiful part of the world. The Grand Bahia Hotel has been one of my favourite places to stay due to its beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere, and affordability. Over the years, I have visited five times, including four stays in the last two years, and have always had a positive experience until my most recent visits in Winter 2024. During my first stay this past winter, a waitress befriended me. We developed a friendly rapport, shared a few kisses, and she openly told other waitresses that we were together. Before I left, she even gave me a small gift. Following my departure, we stayed in contact through daily chats and messages, and she strongly encouraged me to return. However, she then started requesting money. On my second visit her behavior became inconsistent, she blew hot and cold, and I noticed a concerning pattern among the waitresses. On this second visit, another waitress, also showed excessive attention towards me - both women professed their love for me within a short period. I played along to gauge her sincerity, but it became clear that there are several staff members who appear to be targeting guests, solo male travellers, in an attempt to scam them. Upon my return home the patern has continued and a request for money to help her.Has been sent to me This type of behavior is completely unacceptable in a professional hospitality setting. I strongly urge you to address this by taking immediate action by investigating and terminating any staff members found to be engaging in this kind of misconduct. If left unchecked, this issue will continue to harm the experience of guests and could damage your reputation. Unfortunately, due to my experience, I will not be returning but I hope you will take this matter seriously and ensure that The Grand Bahia Hotel returns to being a welcoming and reputable destination.

Excellent/Fun Vacation Again
The vacation was great and the staff are the best, friendly. & helpful. The resort is showing its age,but they are slowly renovating all the villas which are very nice. I hope they include some of the restaurants and buffets,as they also show their age. The manager of guest services Michel O. went above ,& beyond to make our stay pleasant after a mishap our first night. Also your trolley driver Maximo makes everyone on his Lamborghini, Ferrari laugh and enjoy themselves . I have one suggestion for improvement, that the resort provides some outdoor chairs at the pools and beach. The amount of guests we encounter, not able to get up or down on loungers was many, myself included. We were advised to bring chair from our balcony,but for some the distance was to far. We have been to this resort at least 5 times and love the ❤️ Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana! I am sure we will be back & recommend to our friends & family! 🧡

Unforgettable Vacation.
Bahia Principe Grand is a wonderful clean and safe resort. Staff are great and always eager to help . Pool is clean and water temperature awesome . So much to do and see here that you will not be bored. Beaches very clean and plenty of chairs for the patrons. We were lucky to have a great weather while in punta cana. Rooms may need a little uplifting they are showing that are aged but they started renovations on the resort so I cannot wait to go back and see the results. Overall a great experience,will visit Grand Punta Cana at Bahia Principe again.

Would we go back? .......
Very poor language barrier even when speaking english/ spanish was easier for alot of staff to say no understand ( they knew this one very well) Misquotos will carry you away was told resort sprays , did not see this happen, even in the wee hours of the morning , tried to inquire but everyone seemed not to understand The smell of sewage in buffet was overwhelming and the Japanese restaurant next to it, we cancelled it . Bartenders at pool were amazing and fast always interacting and speaking our language when conversing, the food truck amazing as well as the beach buffet, pools always clean and the pools guys dojng a great job of cleaning with chemicals after it closed. Staff in kitchens very well dressed for what they were doing hair nets etc. Garden grill was excellent we went 2 times out of 3, staff there very accommodating. With all said these are things that can be changed or improved upon ..would we go back yes for sure

Not a 4 star resort. The resort itself is lovely but the quality of food is non existent. Ala carte restaurants poor.
If you love good quality food and no mosquitoes do not go to this resort. Ala carte restaurants average. Japanese tapaniaki was the best. Just a bad experience over all. Language barrier is tough, not many of the employees speak English. Loved the beach.
