    Turquesa Resort Review 2025

If you are looking for a HUGE resort, this is it. Turquesa at tip so thankfully there is a "train" that brings you to and from the beach & other resorts. We did opt to walk a few times after eating, approx 9 minutes (if you are a fast walker, yes I am) Las Dalias: Buffet is pretty good Plenty to choose from, and they replenish when low. Staff is very very nice. There are 14 restaurants (apparently) our package gave us only 3 to choose from and reserve. 1) Mikado: Was only "ok" , I'd skip, but they did serve sushi ... Ok 2) El Olivo Mediterranean: This one here ... Well amazing 9/10 Meal was exceptional. Get reservations if you can. 3) Restaurant Fish Market: Omgaud, big Zero !!! I was so disappointed. From entré to meal, nope ! Everything was cold, from soup to main meal ... Cold !!! I even asked to make sure, please hot ... Big disappointment We ended up going back to buffet. Bar near beach: Unfortunately drinks were not up to par in my opinion.Beware of NASTY service by one particular bartender. I stuck to beer with lime. Day Entertainment: Didn't get his name (looked like Pitbull, lol) He was a Power House ! The energy out of that guy WOW ! Beach: HUGE problem with beach chairs. People tend to reserve with hotel towels, clips, bags, lotion, what ever possible. EVEN after signs says: No reservations allowed. Another problem with Previllege guests Not clear how this applies to a PUBLIC beach especially when chairs are all same. Give them what they want in this case "special" chairs (gaud) ! OVERALL: It's a good resort to my experience @ Turquesa. Enjoy

AWESOME!!! Beautiful atmosphere, food and events also the excursions

Wonderful time from beginning to the end. Felix was a great poolside bartender, Angelica who cleaned our room did a great job. Very satisfied will recommend my family and friends. The events during the day and in the evening were filled with fun and excitement.

    Pool Chair Saving was ridiculous

The biggest drawback of this resort is the absurd saving of chairs at pool and beach. We went to the pool at 5:45am and there were literally 2 chairs remaining at the pool. And we would sit all day watching people walk by looking for chairs all while many of the “saved” chairs were empty till well past noon or later. That is ridiculous. The resort was lovely. Our swim up room was very nice. Our maid was terrific. The staff were friendly. The food was good. And we had lots of fun. There were some language issues, but most were overcome by slowly speaking and looking at a translator.

    Buyer Beware

Scratchy. Sheets, threadbare towels, single ply TP, indifferent staff and so crowded you had to fight for everything. The beach area was a disaster - way too many people for too few chairs and space. And ravenous mosquitoes even deep woods off can’t fight. Also the constant upsell, from arrival to spend hundreds more for ‘Privelege’ and relentless on the beach- unlike other resorts Bahia doesn’t prohibit beach trinket sellers. Cleanliness around the resort was sub par, especially in the washrooms. No one told us anything, at all. We were encouraged to scan a QR code to find our way around. When we walked around and through the various resort lobbies just to take a look around we were actually asked to leave - shocking and embarrassing. The music was all day and relentless, despite requesting a quiet room we never got one. And when the door lock malfunctioned staff were angry to have to respond to our call for help. That was not my first but was indeed my very last trip to the Dominican Republic.

    Great Place!

Bahia Príncipe is incredible. I came here with my family, as a young man aged 22 years old and it was perfect. There is a lot of entertainment for all ages, the staff is incredible. Ismael is the greatest. They do games everyday, action all around the day. It’s the perfect place for solo travelers and family. I recommended a lot. Again, shoutout Ismael, you made our week better!
