Zero stars if I could! Def not returning.
The experience overall was horrible! If you are a tourist with a darker skin complexion you are absolutely not welcomed here! The quality of customer service by some of the people is absolutely disgusting! One of them refused to serve me at the meat station and sucked her teeth and called me a little girl in her language. I had to bring it up to management. Do NOT waste your money here it is not a 4 star hotel! The rooms are outdated the mosquitoes are relentless my room leaked and they did nothing had to line up towels on the floor for my families safety. My parents couldn't come because my mom was ill and they refused to reimburse me or give some kind of credit to use. Instead they gave me the run around I sent an email to reservations and still no response. It's highly disorganized and even unsafe! They even communicate amongst themselves about the price of taxis. I already had a previous arrangement with a taxi company and they nearly screamed at me because I refused to take their provided taxi for three times the price for a 15min trip. Please be careful and take this review seriously!! Shout out to Analise and her friend at the pool restaurant, Yolanda, Mitor, Nickenson, Orlando, and Yaceline they were amazing individuals and interacted with my family every single time we came to the restaurant.

Prefect for a family with small children
Prefect for the family with small children I would like to start with saying this place is HUGE. The Turquesa resort located the further away from the beach, and you will have to take a ride to get there. The good thing is that we never had to wait long for a ride, it runs consistently and stops at all locations. Read other reviews as well: this place is definitely NOT the 5 stars resorts: it is outdated, and they are in the need of updating all of the furniture, bathrooms and towels. Positive things to say: Cleanliness: the resort is kept spotless: the grounds, rooms, bathrooms, pools, common areas are cleaned regularly. Spa: one of the best one I have visited in Dominican Republic. Even though, the building is kind of stand along and faraway from everything, but they offer different options that are amazing. Food: Mixed feelings. The specialty restaurants and buffet were good, but it is the only place that does not offer a large variety of choices. Beach/Pools: excellent. We never had to look for chairs, plenty available. Staff: friendly and happy, always ready to help or answer questions. Entertainment: so many different options to choose from as many resorts would have different things going on through the week. I would suggest to pay attention to daily boards. My favorite was the white party with fire performance.

Disappointing Stay with Numerous Maintenance and Service Issues
I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent stay at this hotel, which, unfortunately, did not meet the expected standards. I believe this input may help improve the overall guest experience. Firstly, communication with your staff in English was quite challenging, which made it difficult to address concerns and ask for assistance effectively. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room upon arrival was subpar, which set a disappointing tone for the stay. There were several maintenance issues during my stay, starting with the mini-bar, which was not operational for two full days. Although the staff assured me it was fixed, the unit functioned intermittently, leaving me without cold drinks for the majority of the time. Moreover, I discovered mould on the lampshade by the bed, which was replaced only upon my request. This raised concerns about room inspections before guest check-in. More alarmingly, the electric socket in my room had exposed live wires, posing a serious health and safety risk, especially for families with young children like mine. While this issue was resolved after reporting it, I was surprised that I was not offered a room change—only a paid upgrade to a different hotel, which I found quite disappointing. Another significant concern was the lack of food options for individuals with allergies. My 6-year-old daughter is intolerant to milk, and throughout the first week of our stay, there were no suitable dessert options available for her. After multiple requests, she was offered a frozen lolly, which appeared to have been refrozen after thawing, resulting in her becoming unwell. Due to this, we were hesitant to try further alternatives. It wasn’t until the second week that a supervisor brought a chef to assist with the issue, and we requested jelly to be served daily with dinner. Despite being promised this accommodation, we often had to remind the staff, and the jelly was frequently unavailable. This inconsistency made the "all-inclusive" offering feel lacking. Other maintenance issues included loose wires in the jacuzzi pool, and nightly disturbances from automated phone calls after midnight, which impacted our rest. Additionally, the kids' pool with slides—the primary reason for choosing the Turquesa—was closed for maintenance during a third of our stay. I also want to address the booking experience. I booked directly through the hotel and paid a higher rate than if I had gone through an agent. This decision was based on the advertised benefits of online check-in, selecting a room in advance, and pre-booking restaurant times. However, I was unable to choose a room or schedule restaurant times, receiving a message that these options were unavailable. Lastly, the room itself was dated, with cracks in the walls and a bathroom ceiling made of plastic panels that appeared ready to collapse and leak. The sink also leaked from underneath. These conditions contributed to an overall sense of disappointment, especially considering the additional cost I incurred for direct booking. Overall, I left feeling that I spent more money than necessary and experienced a series of preventable issues. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.
