    A good holiday

A good luxury hotel. The staff are amazing and made the stay special and the food was excellent. The mini bar was a let down and some of the furniture in the room was damaged. The drinks are strong but we're amazing. The beach and the pools were excellent.

    Ok experience

The adults only side is where we stayed at. It’s not a quiet resort. It’s off a main road and it’s extremely noisy and didn’t sleep. The hallway noise at all hours with room service carts and cleaning cards. The food was ok restaurants only went to 2 and weren’t that good. Staff was a hit and miss. Some willing to help some couldn’t care less. The pool deck gets very slippery when it’s wet. Poor design to have those stones. No wifi in parts of the resort especially at the pool. The bar quality was horrible. No real name brand for vodka or tequila gave me heartburn every time I drank. Paper straws but kids side plastic straws. Rooms ok. Beach is horrible. Couldn’t use it at all. For what we paid for the money wasn’t worth it at all. There is other resorts better to stay at for less money.

WORST STAY EVER! I DON'T RECOMMEND

I just came back from Jamaica, staying at the Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay, which is supposed to be a luxury resort. I was there to officiate a beautiful wedding. This is the worst resort ever! It is 2 stars at best. My room smelled heavily of mold, and I had to keep the balcony door open, but the smell was still in the room. My phone didn't work. There was also an issue with the bathroom where the water from the shower was pooling around the toilet, which is separate. I also noticed, when I went outside of the room, that the water from the shower was coming through the wall. I understand tropical climates and moisture issues, but this hotel is outdated and horrible. The hotel staff only offered me an aroma candle. Then they switched my room. The new room smelled of mold, but not as strong. It was late, and I didn't want to move at that point. They brought another candle, but I asked for compensation and was told there was nothing that could be done about it. There was a cockroach crawling in the hallway. My ordeal didn't stop there. I was stuck in an elevator. Along with being stuck in the elevator, it stopped working altogether. That caused me to have to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to my room or walk almost the entire property to get to my room. The food was horrible. At the time of check-in, I wasn't given my wristband to enter the room and had to walk back to the front desk, which is the longest walk ever. When I was approached by one of the staff as to how my stay was, I informed him. He recorded everything and said he would talk to his superiors about compensation. He came back with they would offer me $100 voucher. I felt insulted because it was around 6:30pm and I was leaving at 6:30a the next morning. What was I going to do with the voucher? The food was horrible! The resort doesn't take into consideration those who are plant-based. There are not many options. They don't inform you that restaurants close at a certain time. The only bright spot to the trip was the massage by Russhana Davidson. That was 5 star. I just want you all to make it right. Some sort of compensation for all I experienced.
