Pool bar Barcelo the place to be
The pool bar at the Barcelo is second to none. This is 100% because of the bartenders like Robert and Omar who make it so enjoyable. They are incredible bartenders and hosts. I can’t picture Aruba without them. It is the place to be. Especially when in the pool

Koyo restaurant
I recently went to Barcelo resorts in Aruba. I ate at Koyo restaurant to celebrate my birthday and i definitely enjoyed myself. My waiter Joson was great!!! He made sure I enjoyed my time there celebrating my birthday. The food was outstanding as well. We ordered so much food and there was no disappointment.

Good value for what it is.
Id truly sum it up as it is what it is. It’s an older hotel thats an all inclusive. Mid price. Rooms are a bit older, but very very clean. Food is whats expected for all-inclusive, just ok. Drinks were horrible due to low quality liquor AND tiny paper cups. Within two minutes, frozen drinks were liquid. Again, all inclusive… The pool loungers were very uncomfortable. Beach ones a bit better. So you know, they give you one towel card per person. Meaning, you get one towel only. They’re probably 3 foot long. So, if you put them on the back of your chair, from your lower back to your legs are on the chair itself. The staff at the restaurants were very attentive, kind, and friendly.

Gold level prices and silver level service.
First the good stuff: The wait staff are pleasant, competent and are willing to converse; there are people from all over. The beach is clean and convenient, the pool well-maintained and the alcohol abundant if that’s your thing. The restaurants are good. There were some weaknesses: the fire alarm went off multiple times two nights in a row, which is great if there’s a fire ( there wasn’t). The walls are thin and I could almost sing along with the music from a discotheque across the street as well as share my opinions with the couple arguing next door. I went to the front desk to ask for some small bills in order to tip the staff and was declined and directed to the casino, which didn’t want to give change to non-gamblers. On a separate trip to the front desk, I encountered a different receptionist ( a lovely lady with a Filipina name) who graciously changed my money for me.
