Much better than expected after seeing some reviews!!!
REVIEW TIME!! Tried to keep it as simple as possible. (Still have 2 full days left here) A little personal history to understand everyone is different and everyone has different expectations! Im a Brit expat now living in Canada and my wife is Canadian, I’m a vet who served in 3 warzones and on one occasion lived off the same food every single day for over 3 months as there was a mix up with rations. I’m now a blur collar worker and before coming on this vacation I was working 12+hrs a day outside in temps between -25 Celsius and -39 Celsius for 15 days strait! I needed this vacation lol…. we never stay at the same hotel twice as we like trying different places for the experience. FOOD: My wife and I are not professional food critics nor are we foodies! We ALWAYS found something good to at the buffet for lunch and supper and over all we enjoyed what we selected to put on our plates. We didn’t eat at the breakfast buffet as I walked round once and food options didn’t look appetizering to me but they did have a good selection of breads, meats and cheese for a continental breakfast. I did often book the American breakfast room service and that was amazing. We went into strikers 3 times and one occasion there was definitely a slight smell in the air but wasn’t enough to make us leave. We pre booked at KYOTO, LA BRISA and DOLCEVITA all meals were at 7 or 7:30 and the food was good and the service was excellent (we always but a $5 bill on the table when we sit down so they see it 🤷🏼♂️) ROOM: We booked a premium level panoramic room but got a free upgrade to the Master Suite Sea Front View Premium Level (WOW!!!! What a room and what a view!!!!) it was cleaned every day and I always put a couple of $1 bills with a list of drinks and we always got them (coors light, Coke Zero). The AC was amazing and our room was nice and cold at night and we always had hot water. BEACH: they say online this is one of the top 5 beaches in the world!!! I believe it. The water was always warm, clear, calm and sand is so soft. I went snorkeling almost daily and saw many turtles each time. We did find people placed towels on the loungers around 8am but the beach is long so with a little walk you should always find a couple. I saw the staff early every morning cleaning the beach. STAFF! We greeted most staff with a hola, Buenos días, Buenas noches and 90% would smile and return the greating. Lots of staff didn’t speak good/any English but we did find all the important staff (reception/room service phone/A la carte) spoke good English. I would always google what I wanted to say and try my best in Spanish, I got a few laughs and they replied in English lol I believe a vacation is the same as life!! If you you have a negative vibe you will receive a negative vibe in return, if you walk around with a smile people smile back and most importantly if all you’re doing is looking for negativity you will most definitely find it!!

Good hotel
It’s a good hotel; would go back. Food is okay didn’t get sick could see improvements. Used the premium breakfast most of the days - it’s meh. Cold mostly but edible. Beach is gorgeous nothing to complain - they could use drink service as the bars get very busy and takes a long time to get a drink. Same with the pools - should have some drink service to elevate congestion. A la cartes - good, but some minor issues nothing to cry about. Kyoto was fantastic ! The elevators - scary. Said a prayer everytime we went on. At some point it slipped causing some whiplash from 3-2 that was scary never used them after that . Premium was ok. Water parks were fun. Mini put - concrete painted green - not in the best of shape. But beautiful surroundings - maybe put some grass. Overall great experience would go back but would like to see improvement.

Wrong rating in the public
I don't know if other rooms have the similar experience like my stay. I am not satisfied with my stay. First get into the room, it has a very strong bleach smell that makes me not comfortable. My room is missing the tidy and clean card hang out the door. 1st we missed the cleaning service. 2nd day we asked the cleaning lady to give us .

A good family trip with kids
A good first trip with elementary school age kids. Overall cleanliness of grounds was acceptable. Food was very good, no gastrointestinal issues. Rooms were cleaned well and sleep was good. Some language barrier, but we found common ground through gestures and our very limited Spanish. Hola!
