Sylviia balam excellent service et toujours souriante. Toujours au devant pour vous rendre heureux. Ont y mangé comme des Roys. Beau site bien aménagé. D'une propreté impeccable. Il y a de tout casino centre d'achat,bowling, spectacle et j'en passe.

This is a budget friendly resort and was good for what it is. Nothing is going to blow your socks off but the property is well maintained and you will have a nice time. The buffet food is very underwhelming and was not replenished very well. The rooms were good and the AC worked great. The landscaping is gorgeous.

Apr 01, 2025If you like good food go elsewhere
Getting a decent meal at the resort is near impossible. The buffet gets old fast and getting a reservation at a restaurant before 9pm is extremely. The restaurants can be mostly empty and they will not take walk-ins. If you like good food, go elsewhere. There are some good things about it but inability to get a decent meal at an all-inclusive resort is ridiculous. Even the restaurants are average at best.

I’ve never written such a bad review for a hotel ever!! Terrible food. Rude staff. Long waits for a bus to come take you around the property. Kevin at the front desk at Barcello Adults only was inconsdiderte and uncaring. The property gives you bracelets to wear to unlock the hotel room doors and they never work. You then have to hike back to the front desk multiple times to get them to “re-program” the bracelet. Our room was a ten min walk to the front desk. They don’t care and they won’t walk you back to the room to make sure it works. Don’t waste your money here. There are a hundred hotels on the beach in this area. Avoid Barcello at all costs!!!

Quick Little Getaway
This was a short trip I purchased for my mother and daughter - their first time in Mexico and they loved it! For someone who values reviews as much as I do, I hope the following can convince you to give this place a try. :) Realistic expectations: check-in and restaurant booking took some time, however with an influx of people arriving the same time we did, this was to be expected. Our personal check-in time took no time at all and we were set to explore before 3pm! Restaurant bookings: We were only able to secure an a la carte restaurant on our final night of the stay, however I believe there were multiple large groups on the resort, and although it was the week after Canadian March Break, there may have been some Spring Break groups from the US that also booked a la cartes. Reminder, this is out of anyone's control! The Italian restaurant we did book was fantastic! Our waiter/waitress were very attentive and kind - food was delicious! Buffet: We stayed at Beach, however we travelled over to Caribe for the buffet more so than staying within our own hotel. Julian (I blieve his name was) was very attentive, kind and hard working. Whatever margaritas he brought us were delicious, too. :) Beach, Pool: I'm a new traveller, however due to the time of year I usually travel, I have experienced a lot of sargassum seaweed. For the days we were at Barcelo, we only experienced one 'bad' day of seaweed, however hardworking individuals were on the beach cleaning everything as fast as they good. Nevertheless, walking along the beachfront in the morning or in the evening was very peaceful, and the sand is always welcomed. :) The pools were not as busy as the beach (i.e., chair selection), and there was always room to swim! Room: different for everyone, however our room was very well kept, thanks to housekeeping. We did have a sliding door with a broken lock, however that may have been addressed after we left? We did bring it to the attention of the reception, but we still felt safe. Overall, the multiple great reviews you may read are definitely reflective of the experience we also had! With a short trip, we didn't have the opportunity to explore all this grand complex has to offer, but as a family, we will definitely come back. :) Thanks again to everyone we encountered!
