DO NOT BOOK

We weren’t a staying guest We booked a day pass and had a horrible experience. We arrived at 10am to a wonderful welcoming but it went downhill from there. There is only one bar and very crowded. There are approximately 10 bed around the one pool and the beach is fight for a lounger. At lunch, there is one restaurant that offers a choice of 4 pizza’s and 3 other options and a buffet that is first come first served as was empty by the time we went up after waiting 45 minutes to be acknowledged to order. I feel really sorry for hotel guests staying if they have to deal with this as a vacation day in day out. Don’t be fooled by the pictures.

Beach is good - hard to find food

It is advertised that there is more than one place to eat and drink. There is not. There is one restaurant, one bar to get food and drink. There was a LaCafe Deli listed - there was no one working there and no food, just an empty space. We waited for lunch one day for an hour and 30 minutes. Our kids were hungry. We found out that we could order the food to go and eat on the beach. So, we did that the rest of vacation instead of waiting. We also ordered in bulk because it was hard to find food without having to sit and wait. We were under the impression that there was more than one place to eat, the food and drink would be flowing but found we were hoarding food on an "All -Inclusive" vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the water park and the beach. The bar staff were very kind to us and our children. And the drinks were wonderful and worth waiting for. The resort was very dated, but the rooms were clean. The water park was a hit, and our kids enjoyed that everyday along with the group of gentlemen working the waterpark. We will not be going back, and I do not suggest going this place with a group of people. If it were not for the beach and waterpark - we would have found a different place to stay during our time on this beautiful island.

Avoid the Restaurant

We had a mixed experience. The room was fine. The beach and pool were good. The restaurant was a disaster. The wait to simply get some food was incredible. For example, it took an hour after ordering to get a bowl of soup. Lunch takes two hours. Dinner takes three. Why don’t you simply switch to buffets? The breakfast buffet was good.

Bay Gardens Beach Hotel

Outstanding beautiful resort with top notch facilities, friendly and attentive staff and stunning views of the beach. The rooms are meticulously cleaned each day and the layout is perfect for a 1 week or longer stay. The team that manages the bar keeps up with the flow of customers always providing friendly and prompt service.

More variety in the restaurant. Bed was very uncomfortable. Staff was fantastic beach was fantastic. Overall, my experience was very good. The staff was fantastic very friendly. Food service was very slow because there was only one restaurant and that's why the variety of food was so lacking.
