    Perfect Zen holiday

Just returned from the Bel Jou, what a wonderful small hotel! It was very zen & relaxing holiday! Views are stunning! All the staff are very friendly & accommodating, nothing is too much trouble & they work extremely long hours. The rooms are spacious & have everything you need, bonus was robes in the room. Tea & coffee replenished every day. The buffet! WOW WOW WOW! Every single meal was delicious & fresh! Deserts were outstanding! BIG UP the chef & his team. Entertainment was plentiful, really enjoyed the early morning lighthouse walk, views were fabulous but was also great to hear the St Lucian history. Loved the charity casino night, had great fun. BBQ was delicious & the fire / limbo dancers were very talented. We also got a once in a lifetime experience of joining the baton change for independence celebrations which was very special! Very authentic vibes! Courtesy coach to beach is a bonus, beach is very relaxing & has some great vibes at the beach bars, waves are big & current is strong. You do need to take dollars to use the bathroom there. Also used the courtesy bus to Castries, craft market is nice but very similar products at each stall, duty free shopping had a wide choice. Manager does a cocktail night on a Monday & is very visible during the stay which is great as him & his team really want everyone to have a great stay & it’s clear he leads the team really well to ensure you feel a valued customer & resolve any issues should you have them. If you are looking for a very relaxing holiday with outstanding views & delicious food this is the place to stay!

    Birthday surprise for daughter

Had a fabulous time during our stay at the Bel Jou. Hotel staff were great, helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in one of the garden bungalows, a large bedroom area plenty of storage, large bathroom with walk-in shower, and tea making facilities. The rooms were always kept clean and tidy with towels changed regularly. There were 2 pools where sun beds were available with a pool bar at the bottom pool. Views from the pool, restaurant and roof top bar were amazing over the town of Casteries, port and sea. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were a Buffett with a good choice of meals. You could also eat in the fine dining restaurant which again was very nice. A shuttle bus is available to take you into the town of Casteries or to the beach, which run nearly everyday. Would recommend this hotel for anyone who would like a relaxing holiday

    Small but perfectly formed…

Small hotel that goes all out for a relaxing sunshine break. Staff very friendly and attentive and grounds perfectly kept. Rooms are spotless and views from top floor out to sea are beautiful, especially at sunset. Don’t book if you’re looking for non stop entertainment or a younger vibe. Also don’t bother if you have mobility issues- there’s a lot of stairs and it’s not wheelchair accessible. Food was pretty good, not a huge choice but what there was, was pretty good. Evening BBQ and steel band was great! Two pools but the lower level one was the nicest and quietest and the self serve bar a nice touch. Not a huge amount of bottled water around so probably best to bring a water bottle. Booked a good tour through the hotel- Bean to Bar Hotel Chocolat on a catamaran which included the mud baths, volcano, swimming by the Pitons and making your own chocolate bar with lunch. All day trip, good value and great way to see the island. Booked a taxi to take us to Pigeon Island and Rodney Bay - probably best way to see places and get around. Roads are dicey around here- lots of car horns due to sharp bend in the road close to the hotel. Not a good idea to walk the roads- take a taxi everywhere. Birds around the hotel are fantastic- a bit cheeky- close your doors as they will be in your room eating your sugar!

    Hidden Gem

Upon going to the hotel I was disappointed it seemed so small and out of the way ! By the time it was time to leave I wished I booked 10 days instead of 5 !! Being small it allowed us to connect with other travelers and make new friends ! And the staff getting to know them being treated like friends too ! From my new friend Javier the chef !! Explaining how he makes the different scrumptious dishes !! And the dining staff singing karaoke with us and dancing. And the bartenders remembering your favorite drinks alcoholic or unleaded 😉 this place is 5 minutes to the beach too ! A small resort that treats you like family !!

What a great place to stay

What a lovely hotel ! From the stunning views and friendly staff and everything in between this is a great place to stay. Altough it is on the side of a steep hill there is a shuttle bus to take you to the beach or into town. The hotel is lovely and relaxing and very spacious, the real star of this hotel is the staff who become like family ❤️ Cannot reccomend this hotel enough and would return in a heartɓeat xxx
