EXCELLENT CONCEPT, BRILLIANTLY CONCEIVED!
Steps, steps, steps and more steps, but as this is a wellness resort, it is to be expected! At Body Holiday you can be as busy or as relaxed as you wish. We 'Vegd' but there is a VAST assortment of activities. The worst part of this resort is the 2 hour winding, grid locked, narrow road from the airport to the resort, although, for the wealthy, a helicopter is available. The best feature of this resort is the the incredible staff all of of whom are friendly and helpful and obviously well chosen. STAFF: In no particular order: Simone, Cariblue Restaurant Mgr. was amazing and greeted us by name and hugs every day. Erwan, Food & Beverage Mgr. was totally guest orientated and a great guy. Patricia, Front Desk Mgr. was a delight. Yvonne, Concierge. always friendly and greeted us by name. Moe Moe & Shirley, Restaurant Supervisors. Always cheerful and welcoming. SPECIAL MENTION is deserved for Chefs Pravin and Jamal, who catered every day to my unusual eating habits and made me special meals. They bent over backwards! Lastly Yasmin, The General Mgr. is efficient and doing a great job! ROOM: This was our second time at Body holiday [11 years ago], and frankly the room seemed tired, although they were kept spotlessly clean. Our room had very little drawer space for clothes. There is a safe, step in shower, excellent lighted make-up mirror, 2 sinks, fridge, room darkening drapes, electrical plugs for both 120 & 240 volts + computer and cel phone chargers. Various pillow types and Mattress toppers are available. Wood plank floors and bedside bath mats complete the picture. [I didn't care for the mats for hygienic reasons] One bothersome thing - the shower took about 1 1/2 mins for the water to run hot. [Ecologically a waste of water for the resort] Our biggest complaint would be that our ocean view room [257] was blocked by a palm tree which prevented us from seeing sunsets from our balcony! SPA: The daily spa assortment was of your own choosing and all the therapists were caring and professional. Dee, Roshawn, Shaline, Crystal, Madaline, Tricia, Shanta, Celia & Misha were my therapists ... thanks for getting rid of my 'knots'. The reservation Website asks you to choose your treatments and times during the day. It is the worst Website we have ever dealt with, and even when phone calls & emails with our choices were confirmed, they were changed when we arrived! BEACH: Cariblue Beach is cleaned by the staff every day, although some regular visitors seemed to feel that cleanliness was slipping this year. It is a lovely beach, not too long but walkable with lovely views. There are plenty of lounges on the beach, even if you sometimes have to reserve them by going down early. [If you want the same position] My wife's only complaint was that the lounges did not allow for a more upright position which she prefers. An excellent resort with phenomenal Staff and facilities. Would highly recommend !!!

Great hotel, poor service.
The BodyHoliday is a great place to rest and rejuvenate. Another wonderful holiday, great food, activities and spa treatments. Having been a number of times before, the service this year around the pools and beach was very poor; often having to wait 30 mins for service and then the same length of time to receive the drinks. In the end we often ended up going to the bar or beach hut to get drinks ourselves. Not really a big issue to many, but for a hotel that promotes the fact service is provided round the pool and on the beach via a red flag system, this was very below par. Service in the Cariblue restaurant was also very slow between courses and serving of drinks. For the price they now charge, the hotel needs to improve otherwise they will lose many of their repeat guests.

Not a great experience.
I rarely write a review but the last straw for me is when I returned and saw that I was charged for the second time for a cab ride when I was told I had to pay in cash and did so. It would have been easily remedied except that while you are there service is great but once you return it is impossible to reach anyone for assistance. I had to call 9x to reach someone and each time I was transferred and then put on hold for 15 minutes and no one ever picked up the calll. Finally I threatened someone with a complaint if they didn’t put me through to a supervisor and I was able to reach someone. I got my refund but no apology about being double charged or even any real explanation for why the cab driver who bodyholiday arranged to take me to the hospital, would tell me I had to pay in cash and then submit an invoice for him to get paid again as if I didn’t pay him in cash. Other complaints were that my room was filled with gnats and mosquitoes everyday. I spent an hour at night trying to kill them about a dozen of them. I would have to shoo them away every time I was leaving the room so that they didn’t get in. I was told by a very nice housekeeper that it was because my room was in a dark corner and they are attracted to that. Finally, on my last night , I couldn’t take it anymore and they moved me to another room. I was also supposed to get a real double bed, but they gave me two twins pushed together. I hate that, very uncomfortable to me. I suppose it’s partly my fault for not complaining sooner. Additionally, free treatments are hit and miss. I had one excellent massage, one good massage and two useless massages. Additionally, there were only 2 very small yellow flags on the entire beach that warn you to be cautious of the water. Neither my sister or I even noticed them. One was on the violleyball net and you would think it was part of the volleyball. Anyway this matters because the current was stronger than I realized and I struggled against the current to get back to shore and exhausted myself. This made me very sick with headaches and vomiting and so I went to the hospital that night. My point is that they should display these yellow flags prominently to warn people better. There are some positives. Service was great while there. The other guests are very friendly. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. Overall, not worth the expense to me and the long ride from the airport to the resort.

A Wonderful First Visit
We had been recommended this holiday by multiple friends, so finally decided to 'give it a go'....we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we felt totally looked after and there is so much on offer. You can do as little or as much as you like as far as activities and sport are concerned, and there is something for everyone. You can hike in the morning, have an archery lesson, a session of water-sports in the afternoon, and end with an amazing treatment in the spa; there is that much choice. The multiple restaurants offer an amazing choice, and the quality of food on offer is evident. However, the whole experience is made by the staff. Whether it be the wonderful housekeeping team and ground staff, the restaurant team and beach staff, the activities/sports instructors or the spa staff, nothing seemed too much trouble. One of the things that says the most about this hotel/holiday, was the number of people we met who have been there multiple times. We really were in the minority for being first-timers!

Amazing experience
I haven’t written a review on here in a while as most places I stay are average. This place was Great. If you are into fitness and eating healthy this is the place for you ,the spa service were excellent, the support staff all friendly and you felt seen the whole time. The activities are plenty and often. I do warn you if you are going to do the 4 mile walk it is an intense uphill climb, but the views at the end are worth it. I had a facial by Samson that was 5 star. The sunset cruise and activities with Darron were always entertaining he made the workouts feel like fun, he kept you engaged with his great personality. I would go again in a heartbeat.
