Felt like a home on the other side of the world
Señor Gupta and his family are amazing people. He speaks good English, is very helpfull and gives a lot of good tips. I was coughing badly and he brought me pastilles, his wife brought me tea, and they were willing to accopany me to a docter if nessecary. Besides that, the room was clean, big enough and right next to the pool, which was amazing! Lovely water and a beautiful surrounding. If you need anything, just ask Gupta! He goes a long way for his customers. The hotel is located close to everything and at night its quiet. The party’s are little bit more down the street. We walker everything in Granada. He helped us book some tours and also helped a friend from another hostel without any charge and with a smile. We higly recommend the kayak tour at 6.00 am at the Islates de Granada. Also, if you want to book something (a tour, a shuttlebus, whatever): ask Gupta first. He has a lot of good and affordable connections. We are very thankfull for mister Gupta and his family and hotel. We felt save, had an amazing time in Granada and it was nice to get to know them. The next two stays after the Maharaja were not so great, but I think we are a bit spoiled now ;) A great place to start our Nicaragua adventure! Thank you!

Excellent Nicaraguan Experience - Highly Recommend!!
This hotel is getting a five star rating for me! If you’re looking for a luxury hotel this may not be the place for you… If you’re looking for a Nicaraguan EXPERIENCE then this is the place for you! I came here with a group of people on a nursing mission and we stayed here in Señor Gupta‘s hotel. He went out of his way to make us welcome from the moment we checked in. This is not a luxury motel nor is it meant to be. This will give you the absolute experience of Nicaragua. Señor Gupta has so much knowledge on the area excursions and also on the history of Granada. This was by far the most enriching experience of my lifetime and I cannot say enough about Señor Gupta‘s role in that enrichment. He truly does everything in his power to make you comfortable during your stay. The pool is fantastic and refreshing. There is no hot water but it truly is not necessary… When we came home after a long hard day of doing mission work in the villages that tepid shower felt fantastic! Señor Gupta went as far as to get local vendors to come to the hotel to sell us locally made coffee and chocolates so we could support the local businesses. He also allowed my mother to walk with him daily and he told her all kinds of interesting stories of the area so she could exercise without having to walk alone. Thank you for the amazing experience Señor Gupta… you and your hotel will not be forgotten and we hope to return someday soon! Thanks for the daily wellness coffee and chat!!! HUGS!

Nice small hotel
Granada is scorching hot during the day. So I am happy we chose a hotel with a pool specially that we traveled with our 3 year old daughter, the pool provided entertainment when it was too hot to walk around town. The hotel has a great location near everything. The owner is super nice and welcoming, he is a great conversationist and makes genuine recommendations for restaurants and tours. The rooms are small but clean and had all the basics we needed. Although there is no hot water we didn't miss it as it comes out luke warm. The AC is not included in the room price and is $10 additional per night. Overall it was nice. Granada is beautiful and worth visiting.

Hidden Oasis in Granada, Nica
Felt right at home at Hotel Maharaja! Loved the pool and warmth of the owner and staff. Perfect location for an easy walkabout to explore this charming town. The rooms are modest but really great for a group trip as the central courtyard makes it easy to gather. Very relaxed and lush environment!

Best hotel and restaurant in Granada
I had the pleasure of staying at the Maharaja boutique for 4 nights and I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant to maximize your experience in Granada. It is centrally located on the main restaurant street and close to all the major attractions, and yet is away from all the noise. You feel welcome the minute you step into the hotel. The lobby and interiors are exotically decorated that instantly put you in tranquil state of mind. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities for comfortable stay. They are tastefully decorated with art, have new powerful air-conditioners and super comfortable beds. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. I had an early morning flight to catch from Managua and the front desk promptly arranged for an affordable 3am taxi that was right on time. What makes this hotel unique is it's awesome restaurant. It serves the best Indian food I have had in Central America. Owner/Chef Bhupi personally supervises the place to make sure you have the best dining experience. I learnt from him that the spices and ingredients are specially flown in from other Central American countries to give it the authentic flavors. Even if one is not staying at the hotel, I strongly recommend giving this restaurant a shot. Granada is an awesome city to explore and my experience there was made even more special by staying at this lovely hotel.
