Down Hill on a Hillside

The hotel was clean and reasonably priced for St Thomas. However, don’t factor in the “free” breakfast, as the service was abysmal and choices very limited. Nasty server (Verne or La Verne) brought out the wrong item and would not correct it without charging extra. No one had authority at front desk to intervene. Also many stairs (no elevator -owner will help with luggage IF he is there) and although the rooms are on a hillside, no great view of the bay.

Nice hotel

Nice comfortable hotel. Great complimentary cook to order breakfast; pancakes recommended! Good restaurant and bar too. The front desk lady, Joanne, was so accommodating. We would stay here again. Not sure if hotel car parking is available; location could be better.

Do not recommend

We stayed at this motel December 24 through the 29th, rooms are very basic and the hotel needs a good cleaning and updating. Starting on the 27th electricity was in and out, flickering and then would go out completely. We lost our AC on the morning of the 28th had to open a window which had no screen so the bugs came in. We also lost water one day and when we had water, the pressure was not existent. Staff tried to blame the power loss on the electric company, but all around the hotel businesses and residences alike had power and lights were not flickering. Do NOT recommend

Great hotel near old town!

What a great and economical hotel near old town in Charlotte Amalie! You can easily walk to old town and all of the jewelry stores plus some wonderful restaurants. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which is great! The breakfast is included and was very good as well. Laverne made our stay perfect! She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation!

Very highly recommended.

We've stayed at a lot of hotels in the Caribbean and this is one of the very best. Good value for money, wonderfully friendly staff, a short step from downtown, safe and secure within and around the hotel, lovel pool, fantastic views. Very highly recommended.
