OnSite Dining
  • Bungalow By The Sea
Few hotels in Miami Beach have a beachfront bar and restaurant. We’re one of them — a serene, spectacular one at that. Come to our Bungalow by the Sea for fresh juice and small-batch coffee in the morning, a raw bar with light bites in the afternoon, and an extensive selection of rosés, wines and cocktails in the evening.
  • Donna Mare
Come to Donna Mare (the hotel's signature restaurant) for the locally-sourced, traditional Italian fare and stay for the rare wood-fired oven where Neapolitan pizza, homemade pastas, simply-grilled wild fish, and grass-fed meats. At Donna Mare every dish is prepared from the heart, paying homage to classic Italian traditions.
  • Lobby Bar
The Lobby Bar features cocktails inspired by the sea, one of the most extensive selections of rosés, and wines from around the globe. This bar is perfect for a drink or bite for any occasion, a post-dinner nightcap, or a spot to linger over conversation and recap the day in beautiful Miami Beach.

    Would stay here again!

Quick 2-night stay here with my husband MLK weekend and it was a good experience. Arrived very early and the room wasn't ready (I didn't expect it to be). They have 2 nice changing rooms in the lobby area, so changed into a swimsuit and cover up and then had the luggage stored. Ate lunch at the little cabana bar by the pool. Very tasty salmon & crispy rice bowl, friendly server. Beautiful beach and the beach staff was friendly and efficient. Once checked into the room, very happy overall. Clean & well-appointed. Our room was in the ocean tower and had a nice little balcony with view of the main pool and beach. The bed and bedding was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was sort of "clinical" feeling but it was spacious. The only real complaint is that our toilet kept running, so we just kept the bathroom door closed to block the sound at night. Saw some reviews that said this hotel was loud, but that wasn't our experience, at least not based on where our room was (thankfully). Drinks at the bar were expensive, but the bartender was friendly and remembered us (and our order) the second night. Staff overall were really exceptional. The breakfast was good, albeit overpriced (even with our welcome gift discount). They have a water bottle filling station by the bathrooms off the lobby, but it's down a hallway and kind of weird. For how pretty and well-appointed this hotel is, I was surprised they didn't have a big dispenser of lemon water or something displayed right in the lobby itself. I think that would add a really nice touch. There's not as much around the hotel as there is lower on South Beach, but I enjoyed the fact that is was more peaceful. They have bikes you can use, but every time we tried to take them out, they were already in use by other guests. However, there's a CitiBike station right across the street. Would stay here again!

    Truly terrible experience

I can honestly say I've never had a worse experience in a hotel. The hotel was totally overbooked and at 11pm the lobby was filled with families waiting for rooms. Front desk staff were clearly unequipped to deal with the level of dissatisfaction from people waiting for rooms. Just a terrible experience. Do not go.

Beach Hotel with beautiful view and perfect beach service

We stayed second time for just 3 days, ocean tower with view and balcony. Hotel Beach and pools offer very kind service, as well as the Bars and the Concierge and the cleaning personal, everyone was kind and most friendly. The restaurant is run by the Italian chef and so the menu is - had lobster from Main filled with spaghetti. For breakfast I would rather go cross the street, it is just because you need to wait for Mrs. Arrogant to offer you a table. When we had not much time the day on departure, they let us wait for 15 minutes. So at one point, I sat down on one of the five tables where servant was waiting for guests. Mrs. Arrogant came by, and instead of handing over the menue, she said - as a punishment - you now need to wait longer for being served. Clearly, she seems to love being nasty. Although breakfast service is very good, price is a bit overdone.

    Fun in the sun

Old school retro vibe, hotel was built in the 40’s. Very easy access to the beach. Room was comfortable, but you do hear elevators and do get some hall noise. The best part of this hotel is the staff. All VERY friendly and courteous. They all went the extra mile. Restaurants had good selection.

This hotel, quite simply, made me want to cry.

From the moment I checked in it was regrettable. There’s no other way to put it, frankly. I am from New York and came down for a wedding, and wanted to to be at a hotel that had amenities. The Cadillac has 2 pools. An outdoor restaurant and bar. Seems like a no brainer, right? I checked in and was so excited to go sit outside and eat. (It’s February in New York so the sunshine is THE reason to be in Miami - and btw, isn’t it always?) I immediately went downstairs. It was 4pm and 2 different people told me the bar was closed but to come back in 10-15 minutes. In the meantime I got a towel and sat on a lounge chair by the pool. The same person who set up my chair said a server would be by. They never came however the pool attendant I spoke to came around again and said they’d get a server for me. The server never came: again. Finally the same pool attendant saw I still hadn’t gotten a server and came by again (she was aware I wanted to move to the bar and have lunch at the bar) - she said they would be open soon and finally a sever came by to talk to me on my lounge chair - I said I’m waiting to get lunch but I’d like something to drink. He went over to the bar and spoke to someone and said I could move there. I finally got up moved over there and I was surrounded by staff telling me I couldn’t go to the bar. At this point, Im starving. Id just gotten off the plane, Id talked to everyone at the hotel who are giving me different messages. HOW HARD IS IT TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT BY THE POOL WHEN YOU ARE PAYING a $1500+ for 2 nights at a Miami hotel/resort? I was sent INSIDE to the bar to eat. Because obviously that’s what everyone who comes to Miami in the dead of winter wants to do, right - eat inside? Moving on to the indoor bar: I ordered the grouper sandwich. I receive it and the one of the people behind the bar asked how it was, I said “it’s salty”. (You asked, I am going to tell you). I continued eating the fish out of the sandwich - again, Im starving. Next a woman come over about the sandwich (her colleague, clearly having told her I said it was salty). I said “it’s fine its just salty and at this point Im just really, really hungry”. She then says “ I can get you something that you’re happy with” followed by asking me “Wait, where’s the fish? Ma’am, I can’t return the sandwich when you already ate the fish”. I DIDN’T ASK YOU TO RETURN THE SANDWICH, I DIDN’T ASK FOR A REFUND, I DIDN’T ASK FOR ANYTHING! (I didn’t even want to be here quite frankly!) I simply answered the question: how is the sandwich: it’s salty. How in the world did all of this get turned around to me? I paid for the bill and left. I ended up going to my room, still hungry, took a nap (the plastic toilet seat completely broken off the toilet) Woke up and wanted, again to get a bite to eat, having barely eaten a few bites of the grouper from the grouper sandwich earlier. I go to their Italian restaurant in the hotel named ‘Donna Mare’ (which feels more like a private event space that masquerades as a restaurant). I ordered the chopped salad - which has one sliver of salami, 1 sliver of mozzarella and 2 garbanzo beans and zero flavor, but I digress). Morning: I need change for $100 (to tip people). I ask the front desk who has no change, they tell me to go to the cafe, the cafe said they don’t take cash and don’t have change. The bell/ door people don’t have change. All I want to do is tip them. What hotel has no change anywhere? On my final night, against my better judgement, I go down to once again try to get dinner outside, at the bar at 7:45pm. Once again I’m told its closed. (I google it later and it says it closes at 8pm btw - so again - turning down a hotel guest 15 min before closing??) If you are looking to have any sort of basic level of service in Miami, do not stay at this property. Grabbing a bite outside in Miami, at the hotel you’re staying at, shouldn’t be this hard. Am I reaching for the stars? (Truly might as well stay at a Best Western or Super 8 with zero amenities). There is nothing to be enjoyed here so why pay the $$$? (Note: due to the location, there’s very limited options for dining - and everything in the area is under construction - so leaving the hotel and popping into another spot is not an option, you’re basically hostage with zero amenities, which, is the opposite of the point of staying at a property like this). I don’t recommend staying here: hence the name of my review “it just made me want to cry”. Now I’m back to New York, in the dead of winter. Other notes: - the hotel replied to my “early check-in” request over 24 hours AFTER I had already checked in saying I will be put in a queue for early check-in. - Need proper bar chairs at the indoor “lobby bar” when you’re paying these prices - not flimsy. You are a historic Art Deco Hotel: show up for it. - From within your room, you can hear everything coming from the corridors: kids screaming, people talking, housekeeping discourse etc. - All the cushions on the chaise lounge chairs by the pool need to be washed. - I am not sure what’s happening at the beach but apparently you could in theory go there and get service while on the beach but when I went down there around 3pm in the afternoon everything was locked up and there was no indication that the hotel had any affiliation with the beach, let alone service or amenities of any kind (or even a chair) - If you’re forced to sit at the indoor lobby bar, it would be nice to receive food and drinks on proper plates. The food is served in to-go containers (ie: the ketchup in disposable containers with plastic disposable lids) and the plating is plastic.
