Not 5-Star. Not luxury. Basic hotel with mediocre service.
This is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It’s nice but not spectacular. Pool is tiny for the size of the hotel. Pool service is non-existent. The biggest issue I had was with security. We attempted to bring my girlfriend’s minor sister to change her clothes for dinner and they literally put their hands on both women to prevent them from entering the lobby. We told them we didn’t feel safe leaving a minor outside of the hotel but they refused her entry. We were upset and let them know but from that point on they (including the front desk staff) all treated us poorly. Way to many better options to chose from.

The new face of Cartagena
It's an excellent hotel. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet is very varied with an excellent flavor. Its location in the BOCAGRANDE sector makes it privileged and it is 15 minutes by car from the walled city.

Great location and facilities
Sure thing! The hotel is very well located in the middle of Bocagrande, facing the sea and close to restaurants, shops, exchange offices, and cafes. The hotel has large rooms, new facilities, and very kind and helpful staff. It has also a Juan Valdez cafeteria inside, besides a very good restaurant in the lobby floor. The breakfast is great and varied. The hotel is about a 30-minute walk from tourist attractions such as the walled city and the pier, for boat trips (or you can take a cabify for there in an inexpensive trip). Great choice for all kind of people (families, solo trip, kids, elderly people and so on). Anything else you need help with?

Perfect Holiday Stay!!
Our party of five booked two rooms for our four night stay (December 26-30). Our rooms were clean and efficient. The housekeeping staff does a phenomenal job. There was nothing that we asked of the amazing hotel staff for that was not delivered in a timely fashion- face towels, clean up due to a spill, a microwave to reheat our food, directions, and more! The rooftop area is nice for relaxing. The rooftop staff worked hard to get drinks prepared quickly and to entertain guests (with cheerful dance moves). Most of the staff smiled and offered to help us figure things out with our limited Spanish, there are a few that always went over and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of: Pineda (security), Jaime (bellhop), Luis (beach attendant), Jadaer (front desk, spelling may be off a little), all the entire breakfast and restaurant staff! One evening in the restaurant, we enjoyed beautiful live music. Service was top notch each time we visited. I would like to acknowledge a few things: Is there an unsightly building next door and construction in front of the hotel ? Yes! Did the building or construction stop us from enjoying amazing views from our balcony or the rooftop? No! Do people haggle us on the beach? Yes! Did we enjoy the beach? Yes! We enjoyed inexpensive and relatively short rides (depending on time of day) to the Walled City and Getsemani using Uber. We walked the area near our hotel for meals, shopping, and sightseeing. Napoli is on Calle 2 and they serve the best mojitos I had during our stay! We also dined at a few other restaurants and visited the local corner store for chips, candy, water and soft drinks regularly. The area felt safe and was lively both day and night. Exercise normal precaution as you would anywhere. When we return to Colombia, we will book our stay here!

Not a 5 ⭐️
Is in a construction area has a difficult access to the beach. It has a huge abandoned building across the street that ruins the view. States it is a 5 star ⭐️ hotel but it isn’t. Small pool, unfriendly front desk assistants, and they don't even provide water bottles as a room courtesy.
