  Perfect Hotel in Heart of Getsemani

  I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the Getsemani, quick walking distance to the walled city. The staff was welcoming. The build your own omelet at breakfast was perfect, along with the other options. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for my short stay. While my room didn't have a window, it wasn’t an issue for me, as I was out and about most of the time. However, I do think this should be more prominently mentioned in the room description and confirmation emails so guests know what to expect. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

  Girls trip

  Loved the hotel. It’s beautiful and clean, the staff is incredible. We also really loved the location, close to everything! The front desk gave us recommendations for food each day, and we also loved the delicious breakfast that is included with your stay. They also helped us book an island tour that was fantastic. The rooftop pool area has beautiful views of the city you can enjoy at night with a glass of wine.

  Excellent place to be

  We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Canabal in Cartagena over New Year’s Eve and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our three-day visit. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the old town, making it easy to explore the area at any time of day or night. Casa Canabal boasts a charming atmosphere with great attention to detail in its rooms, bathrooms, and public spaces. A standout feature is the rooftop and swimming pool, which are perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was delightful—fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. The team at the hotel truly made our stay exceptional. Everyone we met was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a friendly smile. We would absolutely stay at Casa Canabal again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cartagena!

  Nice hotel, good location

  I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in December. It is in a great location in Getsemani, easy walk to Plaza Trinidad or the walled city. The breakfast is decent, the hotel is very clean and smells like a spa most of the time (in an inviting way). There are lots of local food options around the hotel, you will have to go a bit further for more upscale options, but everything is within walking distance. The rooms are very clean, but my room had no window (206) so it was difficult to tell what the weather was like in the morning without going outside. The pool was clean and very well maintained and mostly empty for the period I was there. The street does get flooded whenever it rains, but it drains within a few hours I always feel that it is the small things that elevate a hotel and I arrived at this hotel just before midday and even though it appeared the room was available, they made me wait until the 3pm check-in time before giving me access to the room. That seems very petty to me and not something I have experienced in the past. It is also why I took away one star. Despite that, I would stay here again, the staff are very polite and welcoming. I definitely loved Cartagena and see myself going back in future.

  An excellent hotel in the heart of Cartagena.

  This is an excellent hotel. A refurbished mansion. It is walking distance to everything and in the heart of the old city. We would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel staff met our every need. Breakfast was included. The massage staff was superb.
