  Clean/updated property, food amazing, great excursions, worth a try!

  We stayed in a beachfront club level suite with balcony tranquility soaking tub at Sandals Barbados. We spent time on Royal Barbados property as well, easy to access with no inconveniences. Loved it! Great stay, properties kept up well, plenty of great food options and accommodations for those with special dietary needs. Loved, loved Heart & Sol offerings for a quick raw juice, smoothie, and lite lunch. Shout outs especially to Darrio who was our guide and Mike our bus driver for the sunset catamaran/snorkeling experience. Also Tabitha, involved with onsite entertainment, who was a delight. And to room service who refreshed our living space twice daily. There were plenty of pools/hot tubs, restaurants, chairs on the beach, and sites to see. Yes, there were a few staff along the way who were less than kind, but you have to overlook it. There are more who are happy to make your vacay the best ever. Focusing on the good! Tips: we were told it was an unseasonably windy week, but I recommend women have a shoulder wrap for evenings when the temps dropped and for restaurants with AC. In addition, don't forget about the "rooftop" bar/pool/hot tub located on the Royal Sandals side just outside the doors of La Parisienne restaurant. We went up around 2pm and only four other people were there. The views are amazing!

  Outstanding resort

  Best resort I’ve been to. 21 fabulous restaurants to choose from. Immaculate. Great anti-sunbed grabbing policy. Spacious with many pools to choose from. No tipping allowed.

  An exceptional week at Sandals Barbados

  My wife and I had an exceptional week at Sandals Barbados. There was a great variety of restaurants and the food was excellent. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Chef Yaressessan Williams deserves very special recognition. My wife has severe tree nut, nutmeg and chocolate allergies. Each day Yaressessan assisted her with food selections that were safe for her and even made her special desserts. That caring and knowledgeable lady made our wonderful experience at Sandals truly exceptional.

  Our Sandals Love Affair continues at Sandals Barbados

  This is our second time at a Sandals and we loved it. Just like the first one the service was excellent, the people so friendly, the resort simply beautiful with well kept and lush tropical gardens. If you have never been to a Sandals this is a great one to start your love affair. Plus you really get two resorts in one with Sandals Royal right next door. Some special shout outs: Best bartender on the resort: Kiandra (her margaritas rocked) pool bar besides Spices. Best restaurant: they were all great but our absolute favourite was La Parisienne on the roof top. The chef nailed French cuisine. Chef's kiss! Best food item: the Crab Cakes at Butch's were AH-MAZING. Best server: honestly, we have so many favourites but Regina really stands out for us. Best Entertainment: the Barbados show where you see some fabulous dancing. Don't miss this.

  Excellent resort - we didn’t experience any of the negative things highlighted in other reviews

  We had previously stayed in February 2024 and got married on the beach which capped a fantastic stay for us. We booked to return in February 2025 due to how much we had enjoyed our first stay. We had become increasingly concerned about our return visit due to the number of negative reviews seen on Tripadvisor. Whilst I am sure that some people did have personal experiences that were unsatisfactory, our own experience was just as we had experienced in February 2024, excellent. We have just spent 14 days at the resort and would summarise as follows: 1) Accommodation - The room was very good and everything was fully functional. The bed was very comfortable and was serviced efficiently every day as expected. The rooms are a little dated in some aspects but there is refurbishment work underway which should improve the rooms further. The refurb work is non intrusive in terms of impacting our holiday. 2) Service - This seemed to be an area that attracted quite a few negative reviews. This was not our experience at all. The staff were efficient and polite throughout the resort, and we thought that this had improved from our last stay. 3) Restaurants - With the two adjoining resorts the restaurants are a major strong point. There is plenty of choice and sufficient restaurants to enable you to go somewhere different each night even during a 14 night stay. We also felt the restaurant situation had improved since last year, with just Kimono’s and the two Butchs’ restaurants requiring a booking. You may need to wait circa 30 mins for a table at times but that just means grabbing a drink at the nearest bar until your table is ready. Food quality is very good throughout the resort. 4) Pools - There are 4 or 5 decent sized pools across the resort so it is easy enough to find one that meets your needs. Another area that attracts negative reviews is sun bed availability. I would say that you will never have difficulty getting sun beds at the pool of your choice or beach regardless of how late you are in the morning. That said, if you want sun beds in a very particular position then this will require you to make your claim early in the morning. The main frustration relates to the ‘Butlers’ who claim sun beds for their guests even though they often remain unoccupied until much later in the day - well beyond the theoretical “2 hours of unoccupancy will see towels removed” rule which certainly isn’t applied to Butler reservations. So having arrived for our latest stay feeling quite apprehensive that the resort was in decline, we enjoyed it even more than last year and as a result have booked return in February 2026.
