*Important Information for our guests*
The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. The restrictions usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday, and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:
*Motorized and non-motorized watersports may be banned
*Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts obtain a special permit which enables them to serve alcohol to non-native persons during the ban)
*Music may be limited or silenced
These rules are designed for the safety of everyone, as beaches get extremely busy during this period.

Brilliant
Wow.What a hotel. We cannot fault the place.Everything free no hidden extras.Food from 7.0am till 11.0pm.Bookable restaurants are a nice experience. Italian Tapas Japanese and a Steakhouse. The staff are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them.Entertainment every day for young and not so old.I can't believe what we got for the price we paid.Take some bread or chicken into the blue sea and watch the fish turn up.

Pure bar best place
Positive. Staff 5 star 🌟 especially Angela, who works late shift in pure bar. Thank you to Francis, the wine seminar who met us in 2 different restaurants with our wine. Rooms clean. Food in main dinning OK. Speciality restaurants are a must, really good food and service. It is best to upgrade so you can use the pure bar and beach area . You can not have bailey's unless you are exclusive. Negative. We had to change rooms after 3 days as no hot water. Could not fix it after being told 3 times it would be fixed. Then the second room we got was next to the pearl beach bar. When the private party is on music until 2am. When you complain. you get told it's nothing to do with the hotel it's a separate company. Even though you see staff and managers from the hotel going in the daytime. Then you get asked if you want to change rooms again. We had 2 different rooms in 14 days and didn't want 3 different rooms. Recommend. Booking the speciality restaurants. We did a 4 twice. Book a room in a block that starts with an even number. You can sleep. Do not get blicks 3.5.7. Tip the staff and cleaner. You get better service. And they need the money.

Can't get much better than this!
The Catalonia Hotel resort was absolutely incredible! Can't tell which was better, the amenities or the amazing staff! Our concierge Lenny made the our stay so much more amazing with all of the help she provided. She showed us how to maximize our plan benefits, set up our dinner reservations and even secured rides for us to get around the resort.Everything was beautiful and all of the staff was more than happy to help make our experience magnificent. This will definitely be one of my favorite travel spots! Tip: Book your stay immediately! I would highly recommend the exclusive travel club. V.I.P. all the way!

Needs a lot of improvement
Still here and wouldn’t come back. Hotel and grounds are lovely. Pool area needs a really good clean. Paid to upgrade to privilege and what a waste of money. Had to ask daily for towels, why take towels and not replace them, waited 3 days for drinks to be replenished. Waited days for hairdryer. We were constantly calling asking for something that was missed. The air con worked well that was only positive thing. It really was lacking just the simple things. Room smelt damp. They say premium brand drinks at private beach bar but it wasn’t. Beach towels not always available so bring own. One day we were actually told it’s 1 towel between two!! Food was good, speciality restaurants were very good and would recommend. Loads of Argentinian kids turned up around 100 of them and they placed them all in different blocks around hotel and didn’t like the 4am wake up calls. Would have made more sense for them to be together. Staff, one or two lovely the majority awful. Richarson on the reception possibly the worst person I’ve ever dealt with. Asked to speak to manager and was told no. Wouldn’t return to this hotel but on saying that wouldn’t return to Dominican Republic much nicer islands to go to.
