CONVIENIENT TO TRANSPORTATION
We stayed at this property for 5 days, from 12/12 to 12/17 in a one queen bed, superior room, canal view (rm 340) for a total cost of € 684,50 or as charged to my card $716.50. We selected this hotel due to the proximity of the stazione ferroviaria and the vaporetto. In addition, there are no bridges to cross if you arrive by train. We were delayed arriving in Venice and I called the front desk from Munich and told them that I would be late checking in on the 12th about midnight. The desk clerk said that would be fine as the front desk is manned 24 hours per day. We arrived just after midnight and Luca was very helpful getting us to our room and explaining about breakfast and the in-house restaurant. Providing us with a map and wishing us a pleasant stay. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, a small desk with tea/coffee kettle, mini-bar, in-room safe and a TV with a large selection of channels. Breakfast is served in a room off the front desk that has a terrace along the Grand Canal, open when weather permits, it was closed when we visited. The breakfast offers a large selection of food, and it was all very tasty. The breakfast servers were great, and I would like to thank Pryal, Jacqueline and Alfe for their assistance. We ate in the on-property restaurant quite frequently as the food and service was both very good. A shout-out to Matteo and David. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was friendly and courteous and went out of their way to assist if needed. A few takeaways, if you get a canal view room, expect it to be noisy all night long as the #1 vaporetto makes stops about every 15 minutes at Riva de Biasio stop which is across the canal. But we were not bothered by it. I highly recommend this property if you are staying in Venice.

Absolutely the best place to stay while in Venic
Right overlooking the Grand Canal the BW Premier Collection CHC Continental Hotel is absolutely the best place to stay while in Venice. The hotel is conveniently located only a three-minute walk from both the train station and water bus ticket office providing quick and easy access to the entire city. Throughout the hotel and its rooms are all modern, immaculately kept, and inviting, several providing spectacular views of the canal. The breakfast buffet is a treat in itself offering a wide variety of options to satisfy anyone’s taste, while its restaurant features an outdoor sitting area where patrons can enjoy watching the gondoliers traveling up and down the canal while they enjoy their meal. All the staff are efficient and knowledgeable, willing to happily address any questions or concern. I hope to return to this beautiful city in the future, and when I do the BW Premier Collection CHC Continental Hotel will definitely my choice to stay.

Great location but disappointed
Stayed here for 4 days, chosen partly as it had recently undergone a refurb ? The hotel is in a great location Great location but to the railway station and on the grand canal. The Welcome was good and first impressions ok. We had a room on the first floor on the corner of the hotel with views of the canal. Room was very warm and as it was out of season the air con was turned off? The manager provided a fan which helped. The room wasn’t overly clean as demonstrated by the dust and hairs on my socks. The worst issue was the damp smell from the bathroom, which probably explained why the extractor fan was left on by the cleaners and the plug in air fresheners in the room. I did complain to reception who said they would look into it but nobody came back to us The other issue we had with the room was whilst it had good views it was where the refuse boats loaded up in the morning from around 6 am so got a bit noisy. We ate in the restaurant the second night. My wife had the ravioli which was ok I chose the beef lasagna which consisted of five layers of pasta some bechamel sauce and very little beef. When I pointed this out it was suggested that this was how it should be? On a positive Breakfast is good with a wide choice available. All in all disappointed as it’s not cheap.

Handy to Train Station
The hotel was a short walk when we arrived in Venice, right on the grand canal. Our room was in the second building, very tiny, very pretty, with a view of the wall across the alley. But it was quiet, very clean and comfy, and served all of our needs. Breakfast was good. We didn’t find the room safe, but our friends told us afterward that it was in one of the armour “drawers.” The staff was very helpful. No complaints at all, I hope to go back.
