    Great for family wedding trip

My first all-inclusive resort trip, I had no particular expectations. I was visiting for an on-prem wedding. The location was beautiful. Facilities were great. The food was all good. The best was The Jerk Treehouse, where Harley and Sherneil were making amazing escovitch fish among other allstar dishes. Shoutout to Jamal at the swim up bar for the best virgin pina coladas and Marz for the best adult “Marzdrink”. It’s pretty hard to come down from drinking endless frozen drinks. I was curious about how much fun I’d have while keeping an eye on my kid near the pool… luckily the KidzKamp was amazing. Everyone was really professional (knew just how to comfort kids at dropoff). Zina and Sara notably did a great job babysitting on the night of the wedding!! (Tough job to take an exited kid off a dance floor!) Great trip, thanks to all!

    Good value all inclusive

We stayed for a couple of nights endure to our hotel in the north of the island. our room was in the adults only section and we appreciated the adults only pools and area which was more relaxed than the rest of the hotel which was very family orientated. Food and facilities were good overall. location is exceptional. Hotel is tired in parts and the current refurbishments underway are timely. we were disappointed however that some of the room on floor 3 of our block where being refurbed now, causing some dust and noise. seems strange at high season ? Great place for families or larger groups of friends i would say, less so for couples and not somewhere for us for more than a couple of nights.

    Incredible Vacation

This resort is 5 minutes from the airport, when you get your luggage, you go outside to their booth to get your room cards. We stayed on the harmony adult only side in one of the renovated rooms. Our rooms were close to the gym and not far from the main lobby of the Adult only pool. They had two pools in the Adult only side, then a main pool in front of the lobby, then on the splash side they had a huge pool, water slides and a lazy river. This pool had the swim up pool bar which is weird as that was the kids pool. We liked they had an adult only breakfast location outside on the balcony. Great view, food fantastic service was hit and miss but we ate here every day. For lunch you could eat at the buffet which had excellent selection or flip flops by the pool which offered amazing homemade pizza, sandwiches or burgers. You can also have food at the jerk treehouse. Food at all three locations were excellent. For dinner you make reservations which we made at the beginning of the week for the whole week. We ate twice at Calabash, food was fantastic, and service was amazing. Trattoria we enjoyed the food, offers Italian selections. We ate twice at Silk, the second time we had Neptune as our waiter. Oh My God! what an amazing waiter. Friendly, funny and just all around the best service we had. We also had the opportunity to eat at the Greathouse at Serenity (Sabby was exceptional). The atmosphere and food were incredible service was top notch. While I did not have any trouble with our room, our friends did. They had a leak in the newly renovated room in the bathroom. It was coming from the wall in the shower and leaked out to the hallway. They cleaned it up, then when we were out they fixed it. The only issue they didn't give them a heads up and they had dry wall dust all over their clothes. They called the front desk, and it was cleaned up quickly. They were compensated and the issues were handled quickly and professionally. This wouldn't take away from us staying we would go back in a heartbeat. Bartenders Claude, Nick, Dillon, Jedi and Kevin were excellent. Quincy who was a trainee at the buffet offered exceptional service. Jonathan (I think that was the name) bartender at the Rum bar, made the best drinks. As for the fitness, I've never gone to a resort that had a fitness trainer like Vernon. He was exceptional. Best Aquafit classes, offered yoga in the morning plus fitness classes in the gym.

    Good Times At Coconut Bay

There’s to many tremendous things to mention about Coconut Bay, so I’ll just go through some of our highlights. We traveled as a family of 3, and the accommodations were perfect for our little family. The food for an all inclusive is the best I’ve ever had, usually at an all inclusive resort you lower your expectations as far as quality, well you don't have to here. We stayed on splash side which is for families, and the pools and chair situation is more than adequate! No fighting or towel reserving needed. You’ll find a good spot anytime of day. lastly, the staff, they’re all top notch, 5 stars all around from bartenders to housekeeping they create the perfect atmosphere for your family vacation! We’ll definitely be coming back!

If you are thinking about it... do it!

We just got back and I want to go again! My husband and I needed a little get away and booked this last minute. We booked Harmony (adult only) Ocean View Concierge Suite. It was their last room left!! From the time we got there till the time we left we enjoyed every second. It really is only 5 minutes from the airport. Concierge has its own check in desk and because we literally waited like 5 minutes the sweet lady felt she needed to give us a special bottle of wine. So not needed but was appreciated. Our room was a short walk away and a newly remodeled one. The food was really good. My husband loves to eat and does not eat meat. He had plenty of options. We enjoyed that the buffet and that most of the food was made to order. We also enjoyed the a la carte restaurants. The Italian Rest. was really good, so good my husband wanted the shrimp soup recipe! Side note- if it is a Themed Dinner night (Country Western) the buffet is not open inside. The buffet is outside where the show is. The male singer for that show- WOW! The pools did not seem to be heated but were warm and the Atlantic Ocean was even warmer. It was windy (a little more than Aruba I felt) but it definitely helps keep you from sweating. One thing we really appreciated was we never had to worry about finding a chair at the beach (Please walk down or get staff to drive you in the golf cart to the beach beyond where the rooms are. The sand and water are really clear about five minutes to the left all part of the property. Many chairs and shade to be had.) this has not been the case on different islands. The staff was overly friendly and always had a smile on their faces. If you are drinker- have no fear they are walking around asking. We have been to Aruba-RIU, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos-Beaches, British Virgin Islands, St. John's, so when I say this is a great place to come- I have places to compare it to. If you have kids or teenagers they will love it here as well. So many things for them to do! We did not use the Spa but talked to other guests who had and they really enjoyed it. We also felt very safe walking around the resort. Can't wait to go back! Hope this helps if you are on the fence about giving Coconut Bay a try.
