Fantastic stay with minor issues
My wife and I recently spent 4 nights at Cocos for our honeymoon and overall we had a fantastic time! This was our first experience staying at an all-inclusive resort and we’ve already booked a return trip for next year. I wish I could give a full five stars, but there were a few small issues that prevent me from doing so. First, there is incorrect information on their website regarding the dining options. Their website states that lunch menus rotate on a “2-day cycle.” However when we arrived, we were told that the lunch menu only changed once a week, which was disappointing as it meant we had the same menu for our entire stay besides the special. In addition, the website states: “There is also a grill on each beach serving jerk chicken, panini sandwiches, burgers and other treats.” However, only one of the two beaches has a grill. The other beach has a bar, but no grill. The second issue was the lack of beach towels available. They are supposedly available at each of the beach bars, but they ran out multiple times during our stay. One time we had to wait over an hour for towels after arriving at the beach, despite repeatedly asking staff members for assistance. In the end, these were minor issues and we’re excited to visit again in 2025. If they can fix the incorrect information on their website and resolve the beach towel shortage, I’m sure my review of our next stay will be 5 stars!

Memories are Made of This
We have been fortunate to have spent many holidays in the Caribbean but this is the first time we have felt inspired to write a review. Cocos was everything we had hoped for and comfortably exceeded our previous experiences. Romantic views of the Caribbean Sea from our pool cottage, dramatic sunsets, two idyllic beaches and an atmospheric restaurant that literally overhangs the sea, together with the beautiful people that staff this resort and the opportunity to make new friends from amongst our fellow guests - all this conspired to make it a truly exceptional holiday. Special thanks to Kris, Maria and Nicolette, to name but a few who were always happy to go that extra mile to make it a memorable experience. God bless you all and a sincere thank you. We hope to see you soon. Colin and Bev

Lovely little boutique hotel
We came to cocos for our honeymoon and were extremely pleased. The food was delicious. We went out to two different restaurants on the island and we preferred to food at the resort. Tasted like home cooking. The beaches were stunning. The overall feel is very rustic. With a lot of walking up stairs and hills to get to the room/beach. We didn’t mind too much as it was our form of exercise. The rooms as well can get super hot during the day with no central air conditioning. They have the type where it’s installed with the remote. Our trick was to close the blinds during the day and blast it while we were out for the day. The bathroom can get extremely humid and the showers were outdoor. We LOVED that. Staff was great! Yes they work on island time but we were in no rush! We got to enjoy ourselves and each other after a hectic year of planning. Would love to go back!

The Best Honeymoon Ever!!!
Where do I even begin. This place is nothing short of amazing in so many ways. For one, the communication, service, friendliness of the entire staff was simply spectacular. Given that this resort has just around 40 rooms, you really feel catered to the entire time and even before coming to COCOS we felt like we were receiving clear and fast communication from the entire staff whenever we had questions come up. From the information on their website to the email communication, we really felt like we had minimal questions upon arrival and we felt valued and appreciated for spending our time at the resort and that goes a long way. Second, a major reason we picked this venue was for the vegan and vegetarian options made available during breakfast, lunch and dinner. We loved how it was sit-down style for every meal, not buffet and the accommodations the staff made to ensure we enjoyed our meals was outstanding and the flavor profiles for each meal was great. We told COCOS ahead of time about our dietary restrictions and this information was filtered down to the serving staff and chef who personally went out of there way to make us special meals even a couple of days during lunch and breakfast when they made us vegan pancakes and scrambled tofu which was not on their menu. I will say that dinner provided the most options during week because there is a rotating menu but for breakfast and lunch, there are 2 really solid entrees, appetizers and there is usually a special every so often that we could take advantage of whether it be an appetizer, entree or dessert. They also had a lot of mocktail options which we loved. Get the lime squash! Overall, the food was the best part of the experience and that is saying a lot given how much we loved every part of our stay. We loved the live music during dinner and it gave us a chance to have more to do at the resort at night. As for other parts of the experience, the sunset cottage was breathtaking with views of the Caribbean and throughout out stay, the resort is truly a place with serenity where you can unplug and unwind. We loved having a plunge pool in our room if we did not want to go down to the beach during certain parts of the day especially because we ordered floating snacks during our stay. If you are debating between a room with a pool or not, I’d definitely recommend it to add to a more intimate experience. The room itself was very clean, had a wonderful AC unit and housekeeping kept everything immaculate. The outdoor shower also added to enjoying time outdoors Antigua. It’s more rustic than modern and we loved it. When we did go down to Jolly beach and valley church on each side of the resort, it was not overpacked with tourists and it was enjoyable. There is not really any loud music anywhere on the beach or resort for that matter and this just adds to the experience. We ended up booking a private boat tour through the front desk which we loved and added on massages, floating snacks and a few other things which made our stay even more enjoyable. We appreciated how Kris and Maria, along with the of staff were super helpful in explaining pricing and we never felt like they were trying to get more money out of us, but instead they provided great recommendations to adjust something we already booked which allowed us to spread out our private beach dinner, couples massage, floating canapés breakfast/snacks across the entire week! Few things of note - it is very hilly across resort, going down to the beach and it is very steep and gets your body moving and active. While the resort is not huge, you will definitely need comfortable shoes when you arrive. Also, for males be sure to have polos, tees as tank tops are not allowed when eating at restaurant which was something communicated to us upon arrival. Lastly, there are a few stray cats on the resort’s beaches. They are harmless and not a big deal at all but it was something we noticed during private beach dinner and while eating at the beach bar on valleys church side. One other thing that I think is important to mention- this resort feels extremely safe and Antigua as a whole is very safe country compared to other places in the West Indies and Caribbean. While a lot of resorts can also say this, I think for anyone who wants to venture out can do so with confidence and being able to book activities through the front desk staff gave us an added sense of security and peace. Overall, our stay was so relaxing, enjoyable, fun and a trip of a lifetime and we cannot thank COCOS Hotel enough for their service, hospitality, friendliness and attention to detail across every facet of their resort. It is a first-class resort and we cannot wait to come back again in the future. If you are looking for anywhere to stay in Antigua, book at COCOS Hotel!!!!!
