There are better options out there for quality and price 1* at best
Poor check in service, no direction to where your room is located. If you're a foodie, this is not the place to come. Our room came with sparkling wine, a fruit tray and fresh flowers, I had to ask for all three items. If you are a large group, it will be very difficult to get a dinner reservation together let alone to sit at the same table. The food on the other hand is just okay. Chicken fingers, hot dogs and fries are great for kids sometimes, and it's just processed garbage! The seafood restaurant was the absolute worst!!! The steak house was the best but I would rate the best 3 out of 5 at most! The dinners are hurried as if you are a herd of cattle, no time to waste; not a relaxing experience to say the least. The building itself is extremely dated with lots of issues. The rooms are clean. The workers work very hard and look tired. I'm sure all of the activities and kids will wear you out but still! I have been to Cancun and surrounding areas more than 40 times. This was the worst hotel, service and food by far. I believe the hotel tried it's best to advertise as family and adults only but I don't think they are doing any justice to advertise as family plus adults, it has failed both in my opinion. I would not recommend nor return to Crown Paradise club and resort in Cancun.

Crown paradise- or episode of survivors?
We travelled during spring break with 4 adults and 4 kids. Pros- cost; staff was friendly and did try to help. Julio was great at supplying our morning coffee with a smile and efficiency. Chef Maria tried to present vegetarian options for us. Her lentil stew was great- sadly was not available in the buffet. Jise at ice cream station was very patient. With the kids. We managed to get exhausted. Cons- we are vegetarian family and while the kids love pasta there was limited veg protein. There were no labels specific to identify vegetarian meals . Restaurants did not offer vegetarian options or kids meals. There was not an option to buy a different wine with dinner - keeping it simple with red and white options. Buffet food was often cold. The lay out was designed to keep you moving- butter was never near the bread. Jam was often placed in some random spot to keep u looking. Then you realized you did not bring a plate and had to go treasure hunting again. The restaurants had limited capacity and often were booked within a minute of opening the registration app. WiFi had limited span and logged out frequently. Battles for lounge chairs in a shade are a real thing. There is limited amount of chairs available - they were cramped together. Sadly people placed their towel at 0600 and often did not show till noon. This created a lot of empty space and unhappiness for folx. The beach would be a pleasant option if there were more beach umbrellas and the beach was raked of the weeds daily. Kids activities- never quite understood the « kids club » process. Also found confusing the advertisement on free babysitting. At the same time the kids got to go once daily on zipline and climbing wall. No snacks around the kids pool. Further the kids pools were all rather cold and in shaded areas- challenging to reward them.

Late night fun
Leon and Veronica are amazing! Their service is above and beyond. The Trafalgar is the best pub south of the border! Very attentive and friendly. The club is always hopping! Good drinks and good times. Highly recommend! Good place for families and the beaches are beautiful. Several food options make for a memorable vacation.

Trafalgar Bar
Veronica and Leon in the Trafalgar Bar were the absolute best! They remembered our drink order and were a delight to talk to! They have a nice selection of drinks and a nice place to lounge after a long day at the beach or pool! Overall, our favorite spot to go!

Overall, very good
The staff here is excellent. Check in was a bit slow, but fine. Love the wristband keys. Nice beach. Almost no rocks. Intense, but fun waves. Nice sand. Not enough shade shelters. They are all taken before 6 AM. The sun is intense. Bring plenty of sunscreen! Sun loungers are easy enough to find. The resort shows some age, but is very well kept. Maintenance is always working on improving something. The rooms are nice. Clean, and everything functioned well. The shower would spill over the tile lip on full power, but was fine if not on full blast and still plenty of pressure. Housekeeper Alicia, awesome. The beds are firm, but we slept well. Drinks and food was all good. The French restaurant was really good. The a la carte reservations are ridiculous. We didn't get one all week. That sucked. Pools are nice. Clean. Towels always available. Again, more shade needed. Tiny area for activities. Didn't see any Zumba. Only went to one evening show. Didn't love it. The night club is fun. Open 10 PM to 1 AM each night. You can get snacks near the lobby bar after. That was good. Beach bar was good. Find Joel as a server. He works really hard and will keep bringing drinks as requested. Lobby bar is nice to relax at. Also, find Lucia on night one. She is so accommodating and sweet! Bathrooms all over the resort were clean and supplies were full. That was great! Overall, a very good stay. I'd book again if the deal was amazing. I like trying new places too though.
