Party Paradise!
overall the facility and the staff were amazing. We loved that the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Everything was so clean and neat. It felt safe there. The beach was awesome with beautiful waves! You had access to the resort next door for most restaurant and bar options. Truly an amazing experience for us! The location was perfect, it was walkable distance to a lot of outside restaurants and markets, it was a short cab fare ride to the Malecon down town, it was close to the airport. Great location. Loved it.

Overall a good stay
We enjoyed our stay at Crown Paradise Golden. We were initially given the wrong room but we’re moved to the room we requested three days later. Being members, we found the all inclusive cost to high. Food was okay. Service in the specialty restaurants could have been better (had to leave the restaurant to go get our own drinks at the bar). Great beach and great location. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location but dated overall.
Well let’s say that the start of our stay here was rocky. The room we were assigned was not what we had booked and the concern that we received at the front desk was disturbing. Basically you have a room and just except it. That was not about to happen. Let’s just say we received a better room. The rooms are dated and came with multiple issues. No hot water, holes in the black out blinds, some odd smells, questionable and noisy air conditioning, etc. The food in the buffet is basically the same each day with few real choices especially for people with health related eating requirements. The food in the specialty restaurants is much better however the menus are limited and don’t offer any changes on a daily basis. The location is amazing with a gorgeous beach and the pool is basic but clean. I will say that there is not enough available seating for all the guests to enjoy either area however and the lounge equipment has seen better days for the most part. The staff are generally exceptional with a big shout out to Cesar one of the concierges who worked extremely hard to correct the concerns that we had where it was possible. In closing. The resort is dated and is showing its age in many places. There is a lot of work that needs to be done to keep its star rating up in our opinion. Yet another great stay at this resort!
We stayed at CPG for two weeks - it was a great vacation! Our room was kept clean, we enjoyed our meals (especially the beef at the Italian restaurant, the fish and Chicken Alfredo at Paradise, and the mole and fish at the Mexican restaurant). The staff were all so helpful and friendly. Danny, Ulysses, and Manny were especially instrumental in making this visit one of our best - and we have been there at least 25 times in the past!

Very disappointing, would not recommend or return!
Two star resort at best! It is old, smelly, falling apart. Looks NOTHING like the photos online. Smells like sewer, especially in the guest rooms. All the fountains and water features were not working. Some had standing water that smelled. Rooftop pool was hot, dirty, not filtering. Was supposed to be an infinity pool, but it wasnt functioning properly so there was standing water in the overflow which smelled SO BAD! The other pool was deep and the swim up bar is only accessible to the small hottub. No servers to bring drinks in pool area or beach. The adults only beach was full sun with no umbrellas unless you rented them from beach vendors. However the beach was beautiful! We ended up spending most our time on the family friendly side as it was much more updated. The food at the buffet was the same everyday. The ala cart restaurants were good but you had to scan a QR code at 9:01am every morning to make your reservation. Had to set an alarm on vacation to get a reservation. The shows were held at the disco across the street, which did not have a bar. Just a ton of chairs facing the stage so even if you could get a drink, you'd just have to hold it the whole time. Also the power was out for an entire day! They said it was "scheduled" but not one guest was informed ahead of time.
