Feb 18, 2025Excellent Value and Location
We spent 4 nights here in mid-February. The staff was friendly and efficient and everything about the hotel was top notch. The hotel is a great value as it is significantly less expensive than those down by the water. We were able to get two rooms for our group for the same price as one room in some of the other hotels downtown. This gave us more space and with the low cost and easy access to Uber in Panama there was no inconvenience. It is also the closest you are going to get to a Metro station, but as I mentioned Uber was so inexpensive that we never needed to use the Metro. As long as you don't go at rush hour you can get to Casco Viejo or even Flamenco Island in 10-20 minutes. The hotel restaurant served a great breakfast every morning that had us ready to head out on the adventure of the day. We did walk to a couple of great restaurants close by and an excellent ice cream shop for dessert. I would definitely consider this hotel as a base of operations if we were to return.

Jan 25, 2025OK for an overnighter but check the room first
Based on 2 stays, skip it. An Elevator not working, food marginal, eating area noisy, construction ongoing, skip the kitchenette, the upgraded suite was not clean and kitchen was not useable- there was not even silverware for two. The second stay room was better maintained, just worn furniture, but cleaner. Behind this hotel is a casino which blasts music late into the night and in front is a very busy street so insist on a high floor street side. The staff is friendly and one of the washing machines and dryer worked so we got our laundry done while we “swam” in their tiny pool. The view from the pool area is of a church which is nice just don’t look over the edge to the pile of garbage down below. Great location for the metro but no options for anything but fast food nearby. So don’t arrive hungry as it felt sketchy to walk at night.

From an overnight stay from airport... - Shuttle times useless. - Rooms seriously aged, don't trust the pictures. - AC / heating barely works, when it does is very nosiy. - Front desk unfriendly. Told us there would be waters in room, none on arrival, had to pay $5 for them in the end. Find somewhere else, don't bother with this one.

A Lovely Oasis
I arrived at the Crowne Plaza in the middle of a hellish travel experience that required an unexpected hotel stay in Panama City. I was delighted to enter a beautiful, lovely room! The staff was kind and welcoming. The shower was exquisite. And the room service was delivered warm and yummy! Thank you, Crowne Plaza for being a lovely oasis in the middle of a travel misadventure. 🙏

Rude bar staff
Evening bar and restaurant staff who are rude and treat people with disrespect The complete opposite of waitresses and bartenders from the morning and day shifts Rooms clean, not innuf smoking areas with passibility to seat with drink and smoke
